With new COVID-19 safety guidelines to follow, travel looks a bit different today. Here are some useful things to know before you pack your suitcase for Kvitoya:

• Research what, if any, restrictions or rules apply to both your destination and origin. It may not be possible to travel depending on local circumstances, so remember to check before you book your flight.
• You're required to wear a face mask at the airport, including at security checkpoints. Be prepared to lower your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA officer.

• You can take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on baggage. This will need to be taken out for screening.
• Remove items from your pockets, such as your wallet, phone and small change, and place them in your carry-on instead of the bins. This will reduce handling during screening.
• Separate any food you're carrying for screening. Placing it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA officer to touch and inspect your belongings.
