Summer vacation at Tahko

Overall a really great experience! We had our own apartment (no traditional hotel rooms) with 3 rooms(!) and also kitchen supplies for cooking. The only flaws that we discovered was that we couldn't find any recycle bins/containers for plastic (only paper) or metal recycling in our area. We were also hoping to get some fishing gear and hire a small boat at Tahko to go fishing, but we had to find it elsewhere. As Lomahillo fishing service was closed.

Comfortable beds and a good night's sleep in this Vuori apartment. A bit of a bad smell in the bathroom because nobody used the shower/sauna for a while. This went away after the first shower. I wish the kitchen was stocked with basics like salt and pepper. That would have helped.

Luulimme tulleemme spahan isolla S.llƤ ja petyimme aluksi pahasti nƤkemƤƤmme ja kokemaamme. Sitten ymmƤrsimme ettƤ huoneistohotelli oli se juttu ! Kohtuulliseen hintaan saimme kƤyttƶƶmme suuren lukaalin omalla saunalla, kahdella makuuhuoneella ja parvekkeella. tƤydellisesti varusteltu keittiƶ. Pesukone ja kuivauskaappi. Aivan mahtava kokemus jylhissƤ maisemissa. Olimme tƤysin myytyjƤ. Kokemus oli ƤƤrimmƤisen rentouttava. Aivan kuin olisi yƶpynyt asuntomessu- asunnossa.. Oli hienoa kun matkan puolivƤlissƤ pystyi pesemƤƤn ja kuivaamaan kaikki pyykit loppumatkaa silmƤllƤ pitƤen. Rakennus jossa asuimme oli uusi ja raikas. HyvƤ siivous. Ihana sauna. Paljon pyyhkeitƤ ja muita liinavaatteita kƤytettƤvƤksi. Ihana rauha. YstƤvƤlliset ihmiset. NƤin ettƤ jotkut ajoivat mƶnkijƤllƤ golfkentƤlle. Kaikki oli ajateltu asiakkaan parasta ajatellen ( omat hƤkkikaapit laskettelijoille ja golfaajille) Itse olimme vain ohikulkumatkalla. Tuntui kuitenkin aivan kuin olisi ollut ulkomailla. Erinomainen hinta- laatusuhde, jos tulee isommalla porukalla. Suosittelen lƤmpimƤsti kokeilemaan Tahkoa! KylpylƤ tai yƶpymiseen sisƤltyvƤ aamupala ei ole se juttu vaan juuri tƤmƤ huoneistohotellin omaleimaisuus ja asunnon tƤydellinen varustelutaso joka ei jƤtƤ ketƤƤn kylmƤksi.

Can't Wait to Return

I was in Finland on business near Kuopio, and the hotels were full in that area. So, I opted to stay at Tahko Spa, about 40 minutes north. I was glad I did. My wife and I felt like part of the community. The apartment was immaculate and the staff was incredible. In all of my travels to 70 countries, the Finns are amongst the most warm and hospitable.

MeitƤ oli huoneistossa kolme henkilƶƤ lyhyellƤ hiihtolomalla. TƤhƤn tarkoitukseen golf-aparment huoneisto sopi mainiosti. Huoneen tiedoissa sanotaan, ettƤ huoneistoon voi majoittua viisi henkilƶƤ. Silloin on kyllƤ jo varsin ahdasta. Itse huoneisto oli siisti ja valoisa. Netflix oli mukava lisƤ. Vastaanottohenkilƶkunnnan suhteen pari kommenttia: Varausvahvistuksessa sanottiin, ettƤ sisƤƤnkirjautuminen alkaa klo 14. Olimme muutamaa minuuttia yli kahden paikalla, jolloin vastaanotosta todettiin, ettƤ huoneita ei ole vielƤ siivottu ja oikeastaan niiden on luvattu olevan valmiina vasta neljƤltƤ. YmmƤrrƤn ongelman, mutta olisiko sitten syytƤ ilmoittaa, ettƤ sisƤƤnkirjautuminen alkaa kello 16. No se huone kyllƤ jƤrjestyi noin vartin odoituksen jƤlkeen. Vastaanottohenkilƶkunta ei pystynyt tulopƤivƤnƤ vahvistamaan kuuluiko meille hintaan kylpylƤn kƤyttƶ. TƤmƤ vahvistettiin vasta maanataina (kuului).
