"Prior to stay in this hotel, we stayed at Hotel Europa which is more elegant with bigger room, pool/sauna, spacious lobby and it is historical. Its hotel breakfast is 80 rubles with live music.
This doubletree hotel is 40% pricier. Its breakfast is ridiculously expensive (95 rubles) with no music and no better food, even though there are so many restaurants nearby, including a food court in an adjacent building.
Room cleaning was either late (after 5pm) or skipped on some day.
The only advantage is newer. The room has a view but, before the square, we looked at a roof with complicated ventilation ductwork.
This is not recommend, due to its higher price with poor services."
"Just finished a solo trip to Minsk a week ago, and I would strongly recommend BonHotel for tourists seeking a budget-friendly yet comfortable place or needing assistance with tourist visa application.
Out of the many hotels in Minsk I contacted, BonHotel is the only one which had actively responded to my request for an official hotel reservation letter. The hotel does not directly assist with visa application (nor do other hotels), but they responded very promptly when I asked for the document upon payment via Hotels.com, which is needed to apply for the visa. The payment was even refundable until just the day before the check-in date, bringing further assurance for its guests.
The check-in procedure was very smooth. The staff understand English well and are always ready to assist 24/7. The room I stayed in was very clean and cosy, with an amazing view from the window.
One extra thing the hotel did was that it provided me with another stamped letter indicating my stay during my trip for free before check-out, which I could use at the airport customs as proof of accommodation.
Overall, the hospitality and high-quality services of the hotel are beyond satisfactory, with great proximity to both a metro station and a bus stop. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone interested in exploring the beautiful city of Minsk, especially those unsure of which hotel they may ask for a confirmation document necessary for visa application.
Love from Taiwan, UK and Spain :)"
