I should preface this review by saying that I am a professional wildlife photographer and that I have stayed at dozens of safari lodges all over Southern and Eastern Africa from very high end, expensive locations to budget camps.
This safari camp caters mostly for tourists wanting a very basic safari/wildlife experience. The game drives are relatively short, repetitive in their route and unremarkable compared to the upmarket lodges where the guides and trackers will ensure much more exciting and interesting wildlife encounters. The tents are fairly basic yet clean and comfortable. The food is good and the service/staff are very friendly and helpful.
If you want just a taste of the safari experience, are planning one staying just a night or two, Satara Plains Camp offers good value for money.
