「Backyard Balangoda provides a great Sri Lankan experience, complete with a very friendly dog named Bruno! The incredibly kind owner made sure we had a wonderful stay, sharing interesting information about local life and tasty food. Breakfast, made with local ingredients, was wonderful, especially the tea from his garden and his own roasted coffee. 「This was an experience like no other, an amazing location. These are eco-lodges, so they are basic, if you want 5* luxury this isn't for you, but you'd be missing out. The views are amazing, sitting on the balcony looking out to the lake in the distance. Everything is taken care of, you have torches and umbrellas. You are so far from anyone else it is lovely and quiet (apart from the wildlife!) We always had hot water from the solar panels. The bathroom was clean but basic. Food was great,...
