A wonderful stay in every way

From arrival to departure, everything was fantastic. Airport arrival/departure went smooth, property has a great pool and is right next to a pretty good snorkeling area, meals were decent to great (one of the best vegetable omelets I've ever had!), power was reliable as was the internet (albeit somewhat slow at times), staff was very friendly and helpful (especially when I accidentally returned my kayak to the wrong property), if TV inclined there was a fair variety of channels (I only watched BBC news and Al-jazeera), and the rooms were spacious and clean - overall, an excellent stay. The owner Josh is an interesting guy who likes to take guests around the island if he's not too busy. The property is also next door to the other major property on the island if you'd like to mix it up and dine at a different locale (and with a mangrove river view).

An excellent Choice

This is a beautiful, peaceful resort run very well by an Australian couple, Doug and Sally. I had a number of helpful conversations with Doug about Micronesia, The Marshall Islands and Nauru. The wait staff is very attentive and joyful. And Malik was special, a jack of all trades. He picked me up from the airport, waited tables and was also the dive master!

Room with a view indeed

Loved my stay and glad I switched from a new room to the old wing with perfect views over the ocean. I stopped over to experience jellyfish lake but the hotel was a pleasant bonus

Update zur Internet-Benutzung

Zu diesem wirklich empehlenswerten Hotel ist praktisch alles gesagt, deshalb von mir nur zwei ergänzende Informationen: Für den Internet-Zugang kann man für 20$ eine Prepaidcode-Karte kaufen, die in ganz Mikronesien gilt. Wo auch immer wir einen WLAN-Zugang gefunden haben, konnten wir mit diesem Code ins Netz gehen. Beim Übergang in einen anderen Staat Mikronesiens kann man das Guthaben transferieren. D.h., in jedem Hotel funktionierte diese Karte. Bei einem Aufenthalt von 10 Tagen hatte ich nur die Hälfte verbraucht, trotz vieler e-mails. Das ist billiger als in den meisten deutschen Hotels. Die eigentliche Begrenzung war die eingeschränkte Bandbreite. Ansonsten: in diesem Hotel gab es weniger Gäste als wir erwartet hatten. Wir waren die einzigen echten Touristen, entsprechend individuell die Betreuung.

Beautiful, clean, peaceful location with nice restaurant, nice ocean view, very friendly and helpful staff, and the owners are wonderful. This is a jewel within a jewel, Nautilus Resort on Kosrae, Micronesia.
