"Spent two nights here while attending the passchendaele 100 memorial events and I was pleasantly surprised how large and comfortable the room was, especially the bathroom which was huge. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of good quality coffee hot croissant's and fruit bread. We booked an evening meal on the second night and it really was fantastic, the locally produced steak was cooked to perfection and cray fish starters were delicious. "The hotel definitely does not live up to the pictures on the web. In a three day stay, we had no air conditioning, was promised a room with a bath we didn't get, you couldn't open the windows properly which is a fire hazard, and one window had no mosquito net. All not usually a problem (apart from the fire hazard) if the owner hadn't have had the heating on in the spa, creating an oven in the rest of the hotel on nights when it averaged 25 deg C outside.
