En skjult perle – mye mer enn forventet

Vi bodde på Søstrene Storaas Hotel i forbindelse med Kongsberg Agenda. Opprinnelig hadde vi rom på et hotell i sentrum, men siden vi ble innleid litt sent, var det fullt resten av uka. Derfor måtte vi flytte ut av byen – og endte opp her, rundt to mil fra sentrum. Ærlig talt var vi litt skuffet i forkant. Basert på bilder og førsteinntrykk virket hotellet noe enklere enn vi er vant til, og forventningene var ikke de høyeste. Flere av oss bor på hotell ukentlig gjennom hele året, så vi har opplevd det meste. Men så feil kan man ta. Søstrene Storaas overrasket oss fullstendig – og på den beste måten. Rommene er enkle og minimalistiske, men har veldig gode senger og alt man trenger. Frokosten var en åpenbaring, med lokale og kortreiste råvarer, og maten generelt – både fra kjøkkenet ved resepsjonen og det lille kveldsserveringstilbudet – var rett og slett fantastisk. I baren fikk vi servert lokaløl, og atmosfæren i fellesområdene var både varm og ekte. Det er ikke nødvendigvis luksusen som gjør dette hotellet til noe helt spesielt – det er totalopplevelsen. Den personlige servicen, roen i omgivelsene, maten, senga, stemningen. Alt satt. Flere av oss var enige: Dette var faktisk en av de beste hotellopplevelsene vi har hatt – til tross for at vi først var skuffet over å måtte flytte dit. Anbefales på det varmeste

Positiv opplevelse.

Hotellet var stengt og vi ble kontaktet av vertskapet. De hadde en hytte i nærheten av hotellet som vi kunne disponere. Denne inneholdt alt vi trengte og var mye bedre enn et «trangt» hotellrom. Riktignok måtte vi ordne frokost selv, men dette var ikke noe problem så lenge vi var forberedt på det. Fint område med nydelig natur.

Høst tur

Det er et stille , rolig og fredelig lite hotell, med koselig atmosfære. Veldig fin og godt variert frokost buffe. Hyggelig, smilende og i møterommene betjening. Vi fikk rysta overmadrass i sengene , som vi ønsket. Området rundt hotellet er det fine tur muligheter for å gå og sykle. Vi anbefaler denne plassen fullt ut. Vi kommer tilbake igjen.

Ikke ta de billigste rommene.

Nydelig plass med flott vei til hotellet. Dessverre hadde rommet med køyesenger, som riktig nok var av den billige sorten, veldig innestengt luft. Det hjalp ikke å lufte heller, så jeg regner med at ventilasjonsanlegget kanskje ikke gjorde jobben sin, eller eksisterer i det hele tatt. Sluket i dusjen var nesten tett, så vannet fløt over etter bare noen få minutters dusjing. Toalettet inni hjørnet ved dusjen er en hån mot alle som er over 180 cm, for der var det trangt. Jeg er 186 høy. Høyden var et problem igjen siden vasken var så lav at jeg nesten trodde jeg drev med yoga når jeg skulle vaske hendene eller pusse tennene. Den rakk meg ca. 10-15cm over kneet. I tillegg luktet det oppkast i gangen rett utenfor rommet. Jeg tror denne fløyen av hotellet trenger et nytt lag beis og maling, og en generell overhaling rett og slett. Personalet var ikke helt forberedt da vi kom, men var hyggelige og ga fin service. Baren var flott med et godt utvalg øl og en hyggelig stemning. Frokostbuffeten var helt topp med smilende og dyktig betjening. Jentene i resepsjonen var i så god stemning og så hyggelige og søte ved utsjekk, at jeg ikke så verdien av å ødelegge stemningen ved å klage. For alt i alt var det en opplevelse å bare ta seg dit, et drøyt kvarter fra Kongsberg.

The hotel is far from the senter. The room has no tv, no tea/coffee, no soap in the dispenser, there's still garbage in the toilet. Breakfast is included but we've been ask if we want to eat breakfast the day we will be checking in but the check in time is 3-6 p.m. This hotel is for the nature lover.

Dålig lukt på rummet men fin frukost

Troligtvis ett fint hotell men undvik åtminstone rum 216 & 217! Har haft fuktproblem i ett hus tidigare och detta luktade liknande men mycket mycket mer. Kunde inte sova där trots vidöppna fönster. Fantastiskt bra personal vid frukosten och en bra frukost.

Var på Notodden blues! Hotellet lå 19km fra sentrum uten offenlig kommunikasjon. Kostet litt med taxi. Hotellet var ellers fint og ærverdig. Hyggelig betjening.
