Only stayed 1 night and wouldn’t care to stay longer. Room is small and had an odour. Very basic hotel stay not worth the price; stayed in much nicer hotels in Japan for far less money. Upside is it’s located a few minutes walk to train station and 10 minute walk to Kurashiki Old Quarter.

Place was clean and appreciated having 3 beds instead of one bed and one futon. Was near the station and easily walkable to local eateries. Check in was smooth and would recommend for others to stay here.

It would be good to highlight that this is a love hotel. Staff were not at the desk and signage was not clear about where the front desk was. The room was large and clean, but because this grandmother didn’t know the kind of hotel, she was surprised by adult vending machines in the room, a massage chair, and intimate objects. The bathroom was large and clean and Cinderella themed. A good surprise was the curling irons in the bathroom area. Location was an industrial area next to a train track.

Achi Shrine (阿智神社) is a 1,700 year old shrine which sits atop Mount Tsurugata (鶴形山) in the city of Kurashiki, located in Okayama prefecture. This mountain is located in the corner of Kurashiki's historical quarter and in the olden days it was an island surrounded by the waters of the Seto Inland Sea (瀬戸内海). For that reason, Munakata Sanjojin (宗像三女神), known as the three goddesses of the sea and voyages, is enshrined here. It's a lovely place to visit, not only for the shrine but also for it's view of the city below. There's also a park behind the shrine, famous for the old wisteria tree
