The rooms are basic and the bathrooms could do with some modernisation. The location is perfect, the staff are super friendly and theirs daily complimentary sheet changes and bottles of water which is always a nice touch. The rooms are also nicely air-conditioned

Location++ Bed-

Very close to the beach. Hard bed. I couold hear the rats during the night. Ask for a room with a balcony, and not a room with a window to the backyard.

Dugligt om du reser själv. Billigt och funktionellt inte mer en så. Fungerande ac men kunde varit renare. Fick trasiga lakan, vattenskadad och småmögligt på vissa ställen.

Lost our reservation

The staff claimed to have no reservation for us. They refused to help us in any other way than to yell at us that we needed the booking number. Which we gave them each time they asked. The language barrier is one thing but the sheer uninterested attitude makes it seem as if they really don't care.

飛行機の関係で午前中に到着したのですが、無料でアーリーチェックインさせてくれました。 4日間宿泊しましたが、掃除やベッドメイキングのサービスは一度もありませんでした。他の部屋ではドアにdon't disturbの札を下げている部屋もありましたが、私の泊まった部屋には札がありませんでしたので、部屋によってサービスが異なるのかもしれません。 朝食はバナナとパンとシリアルとドリンクだけです。 部屋の冷房は家庭用のエアコンで、自分で好きに調節できます。 東南アジアのホテルではよく強い冷房で部屋が冷蔵庫みたいになっていることがありますが、ここでは冷房の温度を自分で高めに設定できるので、日本の穏やかな冷房に慣れてい私には過ごしやすかったです。 夜の繁華街が近くにあり、夜遅くまで大音量の音楽が外から聞こえました。 音に敏感な方は耳栓を用意された方が良いと思います。

Cosy hotel in Chaweng

I was at the Nantra Hotel for 8 days and overall was a good staying. They have to improve their customer service at the reception as for us, was quite difficult to talk them and also be more customer friendly without be annoyed.

Remote control

When I looked for my remote control for the television set, I could not find it. I had to get the front desk clerk to get a remote control from another room. The continental breakfast from 7:00 am to 10:00 am needs to use powdered milk. The liquid milk spoils fast, as customers do not use it all daily. There are construction flaws in rooms, requiring renovations. Nantra is well-staffed, only by women. The maid service was prompt or efficient.

Fairly decent and does job

This is not a fancy beach resort hotel. It does exactly what it intends to do - hold your luggage, give you somewhere to sleep at night and tv with a movie channel to have some downtime. Location is amazing, easy access to the rest of the strip but out of ear shot from all the noisey bars and restaurants. Room could be maintained a bit better, but I think that due to the number of people checking in and out due to its practicality, price rang and location it hasn't managed to do any refurbishment on the premise. 24 hour check in service and wifi. Overall it was alright.

2 Tage in Chaweng reichen dann auch

Gute Lage, für Kurzaufenthalt ok. Frühstück auch ok (Toast, Kaffee). Sauberkeit im Bad hätte dürftig und leider ließ sich die Badezimmertür auch nicht schließen. Bett gut, Klimaanlage auch, keine deutschen oder USA Sender im TV.

Buona posizione, stanza mediocre

Posizione centrale in Chaweng vicino alla spiaggia e su strada principale. Stanza basic senza troppi accessori ma buona per soggiorni brevi di un paio di giorni, senza troppe pretese.

Overall, our stay at Nantra Chaweng Beach was ok with the price.location is good, near to beach, close to town area.you can have anything like massage , renting a bike, some nice foods, all around.just cant demand more.but night, the music around is quite loud, you still can hear it, but not very noisy.if you Looking for a cheap, comfortable stay, this might ne your choice.but suggest take deluxe with balcony room.( alert about the water heater, some didn't function well.)

Rooms are dirty and unclean.

This hotel is dirt cheap, but it's not a bargain. I had to switch rooms, yet the new room was still dirty and had stains all over the shower and sink, just like the first one. And the AC was very noisy, making scraping sounds. They took a look but weren't able to fix after calling "maintenance". The only plus of this place is the great location; 40 feet away from the main road. At the end of the day, there's a reason this place is so cheap. It's because you get what you pay for. Avoid this place.

Ruhige Lage. Super Hotel für wenig Geld. Das Queensbett Zimmer für 3 Euro mehr ist sehr angenehm. Morgens gibt es ein einfaches Frühstück was für den Preis aber völlig in Ordnung geht. Essensmöglichkeiten vor Ort mit dem Food Court oder noch preiswerter etwas im Hinterland bei den Einheimischen sind hervorragend! Zum Zentrum mit Bars und Diskotheken einfach die stark befahrene Einbahnstraße 10 Minuten hoch laufen.

Good Value & Comfortable

Arrived from Surat Thani Airport after a 3 hours travel by bus, ferry & minivan to this comfortable & soothing room. Staff was professional but not too friendly. We booked a deluxe room with balcony, soothing colours, huge comfortable bed, strong shower, room is quite big for the price, toilet+shower room is a bit small, separate sink area is big though, very very convenient location whereby beach is just across the road & everything else in Chaweng (food, minimart, money exchange, clubs, massage, etc) is just within walking distance but away from all the noise & crowd. Wrong location was shown on the map so don't be worried about it being too far away. It's about 10mins walk to along the straight road from Central Festival Samui mall. Breakfast was simple & self service but adequate to start the day light ie local fruits (banana, rambutan), toast, cereal, milk, coffee/tea/chocolate. Only thing I could pick on was the bedsheet & towel was slightly stained & also I had to asked for towels as it was not in the room (but staff brought the towels real fast after a call to reception).

The pillows and mattress top were disgusting. I asked for clean ones and found out they didn't change it for 3 years! They didn't have clean ones. Staff is very friendly and location is great.
