This was our 4th year in a row to stay at Marina Villa. Staff is excellent. Rooms were cleaned every day with bottled water provided. Love having 2 pools to choose from. Restaurant food was very good. Walking distance to clothing shops, restaurants and bars.

Very nice hotel on a really good location, close to everything you need and has beach access with 2 pools and a bar/restaurant and massage right on the beach. Room was comfortable and clean, would stay again if on the island

The room was very spacious with good storage, good sized bathroom with temperature controlled electric power shower, massive bed very firm to lie on but you get used to it. Bedside lamp and tables dressing table and mirrors. Balcony with table and chairs plus beach towel rack. The rooms are spotless cleaned every day towels changed daily plus beach towels. Bedding changed regularly. The grounds are lovely with a tropical walk through to main pool then onto free form pools baby pool and bar cafe area, which leads directly onto the beach. Good clean toilet facilities by cafe. The cafe bar serves lovely Thai dishes well priced along with soft drinks and beer. They even have soft boiled eggs with soldiers. All staff members are very friendly and helpful. There is a slight problem with the storage of hotel equipment, several areas around reception and access to buildings are cluttered with junk and gardening supplies. Not nice to see! Many pool/beach sun loungers need a clean or replaced too. The beach is nice, access to sea can be a bit difficult if your unstable on your feet you sink into loose sharp sand and slight drop where waves have dug up surface, harder to get out than in, the seas not often calm. The hotel is central on Lamias beach road with plenty of bars and restaurants on hand.

Good hotel, great location two nice pools access straight onto the beach, not enough plugs in the room and in the wrong places, also the breakfast menu is pretty poor at the little restaurant, it could be a little gold mine if they put a bit more effort into that area apart from that it was excellent and great value for money 😀

The rooms are very nice and big, cleaning every day, quiet surrounding.. Close to the beach. The 2 pools are great , but the missing tiles at the bottom should be replaced one day.

Inhospitable Hotel in Poor Condition

Run down hotel that lacks maintenance. Staff at the reception unfriendly, never say hello or thank you. The entire hotel area is dirty. Lots of trash everywhere. The pool has sharp edges that you can cut yourself on. No water in the shower for 5 days. The cleaning of the room by the girls from Mayamar was very good! I do not recommend anyone to choose this worn out Hotel

Stayed here many times… Positives - location, rooms are spacious, cleaned daily, great beach massage Negatives - staff aren’t that friendly, it’s pricey compared to neighbouring accommodation.. food has declined, pool needs an upgrade especially sunbeds. Rooms also could do with a deep clean

Great stay! Defo recommend

Great stay! Rooms very spacious and nice balcony area. Cleaners were amazing and would clean pretty much as you leave the room. Pools really nice and great access to the beach with lots of Sun loungers. If I could say anything to improve it would just to stock some alcohol other than beer, like rum or gin for non beer drinkers.

Good value for the money. Very clean und located at the beach. The WiFi worked good, there is a safe, a fridge, a modern TV and multiple power outlets. However the towels were a bit torn and the furniture is old. Worth a visit.

Marina Villa is absolutely superb. The room is large with very quiet AC. Staff are super friendly. The restaurant sells good quality food at a good price. The beach is magnificent and right on the doorstep. We have stayed at Marina Villa a number of times and will return there whenever we travel to Koh Samui.

Great place with easy access to everything in Lamai. Staff are wonderful and helpful. Rooms have everything you need and it’s right on the beach. Only downside would be the main pool became quite murky and green and seemed to need a good clean out. Didn’t stop our kids loving it though! We will stay here again for sure.

Value for money

Nice hotel with excellent noice cancellation. We coukdnt hear our neighbors once in a week! Poolarea is good and just a step down and you are at the beach. Highly recomended!

I reserved a triple room for 5 nights.On arrival at 07:00 pm the third bed was not yet installed, but within 10 minutes this was settled by the very friendly staff member. The room was properly cleaned every day, the bathroom excellent, the access to the beach top and the swimming pools nice. Maybe the rectangular one needs a torough cleaning and the matrasses from the soon loungers needs changing, but overall everything was super!

Best place on Samui

Third visit. This place is a gem. The location is the best possible. Directly on the long, beautiful Lamai beach. No road to cross. Two pools and direct access to the beach with their own sun beds. A beautiful Bonsai tree garden. Lovely staff. Thank God no bar on the premesis, but a small restaurang overlooking the sea. Few minutes walk to bars, restaurants, massages, taxis, shops, cannabis joints ( ;-) ) , you name it. Yet the hotel and the rooms are completely quiet. The rooms are no luxury, but nice. Fridge, electronic safe, terrace/balcony. Brand new tv. Daily cleaning. Pool towels. Nice bathroom, but unfortunately with a shower that leaves no spot in the bathroom dry. I can live with that small nuisance.

Good value for budget hotel

Pros: comfortable bed, quiet, friendly staff, food is ok and not too expensive, 2 swimming pools, beach is 40 meters from rooms, restaurant next to front pool and beach and sundress, good view from third floor rooms, strong aircon, easily walkable to many restaurants, bars, shops etc. Absolutely Beautiful Beach! Cons: No elevator for 3rd floor rooms, bathroom small and no separation between shower and rest of bathroom. One issue: when we arrived we were told that we could put food and drink and incidental charges on our room and then pay with our credit card when checking out. On the third day they told us that because another customer had checked out and not paid his room charges, that we would have to pay up and no more room charges. Just a hassle to keep carrying coins to the beach and having to go to the ATM more often🙄 Would recommend the hotel to others nonetheless. A good experience overall 👍
