Good if you like constant warfare with mosquitos

The 'cabins' are charming...until you realise the big wooden sliding doors have gaps in them, inviting mosquitos in constantly (on top of the ones already in there) meaning you need to constantly dispatch the flying hooligans all day every day. It's a lovely setting but the rooms/cabins need to be properly sealed with glass sliding doors fitted for this to be a comfortable stay. The highlight is the location and the lovely staff.

Klaustrofobisk bunker

Personalen var toppen men anläggningen är i stort behov av renovering. Rummet var oerhört litet, när de fällt ner myggnätet och sprayat innanför nätet vid 18-tiden så fanns det ingenstans att sitta och inte ens en meter att gå på runt sängen. Lider man av klaustrofobi ska man absolut inte bo här. Finns potential att bli jättebra men det krävs en del arbete innan dess.

Plus: ruhige Anlage, immer Liegen frei, Bad gross Minus; Wege in schlechtem Zustand, Stolpergefahr! Kaum bepflanzt.Zimmergrösse irreführend angegeben, deutlich kleiner als 53 qm!!! Cabanas bestehen aus 2 klappbaren Holzwänden! Kein warmes Wasser im Bad. Kein Wasserkocher im Zimmer.Frühstück sehr einfach, Extras können gegen Aufpreis bestellt werden.Obstimmer nur Wassermelone + Ananas, jeweils 3 Scheibchen.....Erinnert alles fast ein bisschen an Camping.

detached unit in beach side resort set in greenery

Costa Lanta is amongst other resorts, but feels like you have your own place amongst the gardens, which are trees, a stream and flowers, with boardwalks making it easy to get around. Being a little back from the beach meant that we were sheltered from winds in this pre-monsoon season. It was very calm and relaxing, and the staff were very helpful but also respectful of privacy. We enjoyed walking into town, trying many different water-side restaurants, and seeing more of the area on boat trips and through hiring a car. The beach didn't have the surf recommended on surf websites, but a great back up turned out to be the resort pool, which was set amongst trees, a 'natural' green color, with crystal clear water.

Very close and conveniently located to the beach

This hotels location was not only located closely to the beach, but to the local market area. Shops for buying great local and cultural items were more than a tourist could expect. Restaurants for cultural and western cuisine were easily accessible, and upheld welcoming staff and great dining experiences.

Fredeligt, smukt og veldrevet.

Meget flot hotel. Boede i bamhytte, og det var meget fint. Mange myg - også i hytten men dertil er der myggenet :) Smukt poolområde og dejlig strand. Søde ansatte og god morgenmad.

Beautiful resort, uncomfortable rooms.

The minimalist architecture of this resort is unique and clearly designed with materials that reflect a deep concern for ecology and environment. Unfortunately, it does not work in the bungalows, mainly made of bamboo. The room is uncomfortable, and it feels like we are camping in a wooden tent, the bathroom has an opened ceiling and floor to the outside. It enables mosquitoes to come in

Attention ...

Nous pensions avoir booké les logement en beton cirés mais nous avons eu les bungalows bambous ... pas de fenetre ... enfin si mais pas de vitres donc tout dans le noir ... des moustiques par centaines ... ma compagne a été litéralement devoree. Salle de bain ouverte mais vous prenez la douche avec un nuage de moustiques au dessus de vous qui n’attend qu’une chose: que l’eau s’arrete pour vous attaquer ... idem pour les toilettes ... le lit est un bout de bois ! Super mal au dos ... moustiquaire trouée ... personnel moyen, avons demandé 2 oreillers que nous attendons encore ... Mais le sejour serait tout autre si nous avions eu les autres chambres ... leur parc est beau, bcp d’oiseaux, des varans , petit dej bien, restaurant bien, piscine magnifique, transats, posé sur la plage. Mais pour presque 120€/nuit nous sommes bien degoutés ...

We stayed in the bamboo huts. Although it was quite nice I would request a concrete one instead. It’s worth a little extra. Overall a great place to stay!

The hotel is the perfect place to chill out. The design is amazing and the pool is too! The polished concrete and dark wood looks great set against its natural surroundings.

Stunning hotel

Fantastic location right on the beach. Beautiful setting. Stayed in the Bamboo bungalow based on the negative reviews of the concrete ones. Very happy. Lovely room with amazing open air (but private) bathrooms. No issues with hot water or wifi. Mosquitos were terrible but hotel does it’s best to offset those annoying little sh*ts. The food at the restaurant was a little average but not bad. The breakfast options are limited and not good if you’re vegetarian however they still tasted fine. Definitely going back

Mosquito hotel

We got a bungalow. It had loads of mosquitoes in it. It’s open to the outside. There is a stagnant river that runs through the property that is a breeding ground for mosquitos. They spray the room at 5pm once a night that doesn’t do much to get rid of them. I got bit a lot and for this reason I would not recommend staying here.

Lidt bedre end andre gode hoteller

Costa Lanta løfter sig lidt over de andre gode hoteller. Fra første møde med hotellet, er der god service og og en fantastisk ro. Der er masser af plads mellem bungalowerne der ligger spredt rundt. En træ gangbro forbinder alle steder, så det er muligt at gå barfodet rundt. Bungalows er forholdsvis små, men indeholder alt hvad der er brug for. Da vi boede der var der mange myg. Dette trækker ned. Fællesområdet er et kapitel for sig. Restauranten er meget stilfuld og luftigt. Alt er designet. Der er en lækker infinity pool midt i et parkområde ned til stranden. Stranden er bred og vandet lavt. Meget børnevenlig og god til gå eller løbeture. Igennem hele området løber der en å, h or myggene kommer fra, så de kan ikke undgåes. Der er myggeskræmmere alle vegne inkl på terrassen der tændes af personalet hver aften. Ligeledes hænges myggenet ned over sengen hver aften, men myggene kan ikke helt undgåes. Tæt på byen, men tag en taxi da der ikke er fortorv. Fantastisk hotel - men husk myggeolie.

Schickes Hotel mit viel Ruhe und Platz

Wir haben in einer der Bambus-Hütten gewohnt, die einfach wunderschön sind. Ich hab mich sofort wohl gefühlt. Sie sind wunderschön gestaltet. Das Bett ist allerdings ziemlich hart. Um von den Bambushütten zum Strand zu laufen muss man durch einen Kokospalmenhain. Das Hotel-Team erntet die Kokosnüsse jeden Tag, damit niemandem eine auf den Kopf fällt. Trotzdem haben wir immer versucht rund um die Palmen herumzulaufen - nicht dass uns dann doch eine Kokosnuss auf die Nase fällt. Das Restaurant ist auch todschick. Der Pool auch. Optisch gefällt mir alles sehr sehr gut. Es ist die Kombi aus Beton und Holz, die alles schick und modern macht. Spätestens für die neue Saison ist es aber an der Zeit, das Holz zu streichen und zu pflegen. Da sieht man schon die ersten Abnutzungs- und Witterungsspuren. Und bei dem Hotelpreis erwartet man etwas mehr Perfektion. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, aber professionell distanziert. Der Strand war ganz ok, fällt aber nicht unter die schönsten Strände meines Lebens. Die Liegen stehen unter Bäumen, die kleine stachelige Zapfen abwerfen. Barfuß laufen ist also nicht. Und im Meer waren Quallen. Wir waren also vor allem zum Essen und Trinken am Strand. Nicht zum baden. Die Auswahl an Restaurants und Bars ist allerdings riesig. Obwohl der Strand nicht so der Hit war, haben wir die Zeit dort sehr genossen und uns richtig wohlgefühlt.
