「The room was really nice. I arrived fairly late in the evening and the owner was there waiting for my arrival. I didn't do much, just needed a dinner, so the owner dropped me off at an area where i can eat. Early the next morning I left for a 4 day tour. My only problem was that there was no hot water for showering....waited 10 mins and it never got hot, just cold water.」

「The hotel was well-kept and the staff was very attentive. I enjoyed dinner in the restaurant and in-room dining was also flavorful. Breakfast had the basics and was satisfactory. The location is great! It was a close drive to the Maerua Mall and walking distance to the Independence Museum and the old Lutheran Church.」

「I was bumped over to Movenpick, the sister hotel to Mercure on the shared property. Rooms at Movenpick have been redone and are nicely fitted out. The gym is awesome. The pool and pool area also awesome. There’s a coffee and pastry shop— excellent. And a nice restaurant whose primary fault is that there are only two fish dishes: Norwegian salmon and prawns. There’s a pizza place located within Mercure.」
