Beautiful room, very quiet and peaceful. Easy parking and gorgeous outdoor area. Easy 5min walk to centre. Awesome complimenty continental breakfast. Highly recommended for a stay in Kimberly. Wish we could have stayed 2 nights!

I liked that it was clean! The pictures they have of the rooms on Expedia make the rooms look bigger than they are, they are not very big, we felt like we were sleeping in a closet, yes, they are that small!! They had no fridge or coffee maker, but there was literally no place to put either of those things, yes, they are that small! Our tub was draining and the water pressure was very low, we did bring this up to the front desk upon check out and they explained that the building is old and the drains needed to be unplugged at this time every year! They do have a community fridge just off of the lobby where you can keep stuff that needs to be kept cold, but it is quite inconvenient! Also, there is no staff after 9pm and while we were there the lobby door stayed unlocked all night, there was even a note on the door saying to NOT lock the door! This place is very over priced! The rest of our 3 days we stayed at Trickle creek and had a full kitchen suit 1 bedroom for $20.00 a night cheaper and it is a beautiful resort!

Upscale amenities and rooms with a laid back vibe. Friendly and inviting staff who gave us a whole tour even when we arrived as the front desk was closing. Comfy, clean beds and beautiful property

This property, and the location is just outstanding. I have stayed here a number of times for business trips in the area. This location is perfect for a quiet getaway, romantic hideaway, or, for people like me, for business trips when you want to relax after a long day. 10 out of 10 spot.

I've stayed in many hotels across the world and The Larix is one of the very few that make you go 'wow' when you arrive. I won't stay anywhere else..... Fantastic staff, fantastic atmosphere......This place is 11/10

Loved the decor and lounge areas. Felt only let down was disposable cutlery and plates at breakfast - not up to quality of rest of the hotel. Food was fine though. Thank you

We will definitely be back! This is the coziest escape to the mountains. Beautiful lobby spaces with bookshelves and fireplaces; outdoor fireplace with chairs and blankets; snack room with cookies, bottled water, and coffee; the best smelling toiletries; cedar barrel sauna available for private sessions; wonderful beds; and a delicious breakfast in the morning.

This was a beautiful, quaint and quiet boutique hotel. We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. It was definitely a home away from home and I would highly recommend it. And I loved the fact it was a dog friendly hotel and didn’t charge extras !!

This is our second stay at The Larix and we would definitely stay here again. One of the owners greeted us and she actually remembered us from our previous stay. The property is so petty, rooms are small but clean and very comfortable. Our 8 year old son’s review: “this is the softest toilet paper ever. When we get home it’ll feel like tiny spikes on my ***”! Our only complaint is there is no air circulating in the rooms so it gets warm and stuffy at night. It would be nice to be able to open a window or have a ceiling fan circulating. We tried the barrel sauna and it was so fabulous! The breakfast is more than a typical continental having yogurt, boiled eggs and ham and lox for bagels. We will definitely stay here again.

I highly recommend this property. It’s been beautifully renovated and the staff are amazing. The standard rooms are not large but all the little extras make up for that. Fresh cookies, bottled water, juice, buble, coffee, tea and even a milk frother to make a a latte. The beds and pillows are so comfy. A beautiful ambience throughout this small conveniently located gem. We will definitely be back.

Comfortable but dark
Some rooms are quite small but still comfortable. Only downside is the lighting is horrible. So dark even with all the lights on, have to open blinds to get any light.

Absolute gem of a boutique hotel in downtown Kimberley, walking distance from restaurants and shops. Beautiful and modern with old charm touches.Staff very attentive, This place has thought of everything. Divine breakfast, snack bar always open with things for young and old. Amazing sauna, lots of games and nooks to read books and relax with in front of the fire. Highly recommend this hotel.
