Everything was great, only thing to mention is the noisy breakfast room. Ask for the Back stage bar for some more quietness.

Amazing location! Right between the national park and downtown Killarney. Steps away from a bike rental. We biked everywhere (with 2 children) and hotel location was great for that! Wonderful buffet breakfast included. Kids enjoyed the indoor pool- but all swimmers require a swim cap, which you can purchase at the property.

If you were looking for a four star hotel, this is NOT IT. Gleneagle clawed it's way to three stars for me because the breakfast was great but my room was in dire need of updating. My heart sank at the dingy stained carpets and curtains falling off the tracks, there was mold in the bathroom and the furniture was as battered as the cheap hotels I stayed at in my twenties . Yes, the room was bigger than most and there was a coffee maker and refrigerator.. But it didn't make up for the grimy doors and overall dinginess. Also, the shuttle was not as convenient as I expected, you will need taxis if you want to head out at night. Good to know ( bc the first receptionist did not mention it) that there is a surcharge if you book a tour with the hotel: it was essentially €7 to be shuttled down to the town to book with the company in the square. This tour was GREAT (see separate review). I was SO disappointed with this room but if you lower your expectations to two stars, this would be fine for a night, although probably not for the price

Great hotel

The Gleneagle is the perfect place to stay for a short break, fantastic entertainment every night which is free for residents, you don't have to leave the hotel and you can have a great time as everything is on site. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food is very good I will certainly be going back.

The hotel was beautiful with plenty of dining options, staff were knowledgeable and friendly. Town is close enough to walk and is full of shopping, activities, dining, and culture. We had a blast! And will stay again next time we are in Killarney.
