Hotel is situated within the Killarney National Park. Very easy, well planned, maintain paths that you can walk or bike throughout the entire park, as well as it takes you into town so easily.

The hotel was a bit dated and my room had some obvious need for maintenance such as peeling wall paper and a very beat up balcony. Parking was an issue each night as the bar is used by locals as well as visitors. I was assigned one of the only rooms with a staircase leading to it, which was a bummer having to lug my heavy suitcases up the stairs (no elevator access). On the positive side, the views from the hotel are fantastic and the staff were very helpful. The location is good and the pool/hot tub were clean and in good condition. It seems to me that this hotel caters to an older crowd, tour buses of elderly visitors arrived daily.

The only benefit is that the accommodation is near Killarney National Park - this is a dilapidated and outdated hotel. Staff were hardly to be found and other people staying there were rude and obnoxious. Children were running down the hall and banging on doors. The shower room was the worst and with no curtain, the water after the shower got everywhere.
