We wanted to take a quick minute and thank you for the time you spent providing this review about your experience during your recent visit with us. It is with feedback such as yours that we continue to improve our property in our quest to provide the best accommodation and service for our guests. We wanted to personally apologize for your dissatisfaction with the housekeeping services. This is not how we operate here, and it is embarrassing for us to read about this lapse in service. We have set up a staff meeting with our housekeeping vendor to discuss our service levels and the level they are expected to perform which results in having happy/satisfied customers all the time, every time. We also apologize that you did not get the unit you had hoped for. We encourage our guests to call us directly to assist with specific room requests since the reservations through this channel are booked by room type only. Although we may not be able to guarantee the room number, our team tries their best to accommodate any guest requests. If we had known the concerns you were facing, we could have addressed them more properly more future guests. You simply told us you wanted a new room with an oceanfront or ocean view although you did not book that category. However, we will proceed accordingly and relay your concerns to the unit owner who can address the issues as they see fit. For future reference, the property you booked through Expedia is named and addressed prior to you making payment and confirming your reservation. It is your privilege to perform a search on the complex location and see if the surrounding offerings, beaches, and views are sufficient for you. With that said, I am so glad we were able to move you into a unit that was more suited to your liking. Perhaps you might consider booking a unit directly through our website or another unit specific avenue so you can personally see and choose the room in which you stay. Thank you so much for this review! We definitely agree- Maui Sunset is perfect for someone wanting the benefits of isolation without surrendering convenience. Maui Sunset has its own large beach lawn area, but still offers an abundance of shopping and dining options right down the road.
