The property was empty with 2 cars in the lot when we showed up. We had been traveling all and had driven in from Chicago. The guy at the desk, Dave immediately starts in on “why does everybody come early! Check in is 3:00! ( it was 1:30) I was inquiring about a larger room ( shows online) Dave refused and said I had to take it up with the 3rd party I had booked through. My 17 year old had to leave the lobby because he was so mad at how Dave was treating me. So we went to the room , small, went back wanting to add another room. Dave started in chastising me as he “already explained , you have to contact the 3rd party “ my son finally got it through his head we wanted a second room. Then when I made coffee in the room, it stuck to the side of the cup and had a film on it. We were her for an event that o my some of us were going to , so I went down to the desk the next morning inquiring on paying for a late check out. Dave was again at the desk. Refused to inquire of management, just stated that he could let me stay in the room til 12:30 SHARP. I wonder if his boss will be happy about turning away a 1/2 rack rate ($ 75) for an extra 3 hrs with a mostly empty hotel. So I asked if I could sit in the lobby or pool area until about 2-3. Nope, that’s loitering . Needed to be off the property within 15-20 minutes of checking out . I have traveled extensively and never met anyone working in the hospitality industry so rude. The pool was about 80 degrees and unusable.
