Overall, the stay was decent. A little overpriced for what you get, but I understand it’s the summer in the mountains, so everything is a little overpriced. However, beware and watch your credit card statement after you leave. When we returned I had a random charge for $11.60 for a “black linen stain” they said didn’t come out in the wash. When I called they said there was a stain on a cloth that did not come out in the wash. I’ve seen how hotels are cleaned, and I am not sure how they say that one cloth came from our specific room (especially since all towels are thrown in a large pile after rooms are cleaned). I get it’s not a large amount to charge, but it’s still an extra charge. Took me 15 minutes on the phone with a manager to get it reversed (yes, it was reversed eventually, after I asked how it could be proven it was mine and why it is not outlined to their guests about “replacement policies” for stains). For a stay that is over $200 a night, I found this a little sneaky and unnecessary. Even if it is a family business trying to cover their costs, make it clear to your guests when they arrive (I was told it’s in the fine print when you arrive but ‘they don’t read that out because it’s silly’). So, just beware to check your statements!
