Unfortunate on Expedias behalf.
The room given to us was not what I booked.
I booked a 1 bedroom suite with 2 queen beds…separate bedroom.
Expedia sent me an option to upgrade to a 1 bedroom suite with 2 KING beds, fully separate bathroom, and balcony.
I opted in and paid the extra for that upgrade.
Then we arrived at the hotel.
The hotel initially sent us to a room that was 2 king beds, but not a 1 bedroom suite (separate bedroom). Had two teens with us.
Hotel told me, not their issue (not mine either!) and to call Expedia.
So I did.
Expedia representative called the hotel.
Hotel finally changed our room to a 1 bedroom suite, HOWEVER, it was a double bed with a sofa bed and the bathroom is split (toilet shower behind door but hand washing counter in same room as teens sleeping area). Not 2 kings with a separate full bathroom and a balcony, which is what I paid for.
I would think that I should be compensated for the mishap, my time, and not receiving what I paid for.
(I want to note that Jas at the front desk felt bad about what was happening, not a great start after an 5 hour drive and beginning our mini vacation, and did what she could to make it right..thank you). Over to you Expedia…look forward to your response.
