"This was a strange one. Last year, we stayed at the Art Hotel in Aomori which was brand new. The Art Hotel in Hirosaki is a short walk from Hirosaki station and seems to be an older hotel that has undergone renovation when taken over by Art Hotels. "This was the most pleasantly surprising hotel that packs a punch well above it's rating. The hotel is very clean with friendly service, amenities, and great breakfast! The room was extremely spacious, closer to north american sized rooms than Japanese. The room was very clean and towels were replaced daily. Wifi worked reliably and I would stay again in the future"
"The property and rooms appear to be quite old everything was very basic nothing to be impressed with by any means. The cleaning staff came into my room and it looked like they went through my things, I’ve never experienced that and I’m not one to say something like this loosely because it’s a serious issue but it was evident and I think that’s unacceptable. The towels they left in my room were old and dirty. "
