This charming B&B is in a suburb of Nairobi, within a 10 minute walk to the Giraffe Centre. The living room felt like Hemingway should be sitting on the couch.

Yesterday I saw Time magazine had listed its 100 places to go in 2018 and I feel incredibly lucky to have been to two of them. Touristy, kind of, but well worth the wait and price as you are supporting the fantastic work of Daphne Sheldrick and her volunteers as they bring awareness of the brutal effects of elephant and rhino poaching. Alamaya, the newest baby seen here, was found lying by her slaughtered mother in the Kenyan Mara, but as you can see, she is doing well under their care. Keep up the great work Sheldrick Wildlife Trust!

The rooms are spacious. Really loved my stay there. Its opposite to a shopping mall which is a great advantage. The staff were absolutely amazing. Especially Sheila. She was outstanding. Very professional and helpfull. The only downfall was the water wwas cold on some days.
