This is a lovely, small hotel perched over the beach lined with fishermen’s boats coming and going. Pool area and lawn great. Very serene place, we stayed a week. We chose to enjoy all our meals in the restaurant on premise. Food was very good, Indonesian and western, very fresh and prepared well. Lovely staff; attentive and warm; very clean and well kept. Our room on the floor had a fantastic, wide ocean view! We loved our stay! Thank you Hotel Genggong for a wonderful stay!

Lovely lawn right upto the beach..great location opposite the offshore islets which are great for fishing and diving with boats for hire on the beach...phenomenal sunsets, large well furnished room with terrace & a huge comfortable xxxl sized double bed massive glass frontage overlooking the lawn and sea. The hotel is in a quiet peaceful location away from the traffic of the main drag but close enough to access the bars and restaurants. The hotel arranged scooter hire for 4.days at 70,000 Rp/day about £3.50. I recommend this to explore the lush jungly countryside, nearby temples, and black volcanic sand beach near bug bug.

Hotel Genggong was our first stay in Bali. It was the perfect place to relax and also go out sightseeing from. We stayed in a Royal Room and had the most beautiful view of the ocean from the floor to ceiling windows. The staff were so kind and helpful! Every one of them was exceptional! We loved our time in Candidasa as the area is not too busy, and we especially loved our time at Hotel Genggong. We miss the views already!

Ocean front hotel
Very nice place right on the ocean. Staff is fantastic. They had an onsite restaurant that we had breakfast(included) and in most cases we had lunch and dinner there. Not a lot of additional businesses near here so you need to get a grab

Genggong highly recommended
We loved the Hotel Genggong in Candidasa. The hotel kindly granted our request for a top floor (Royal) room which had fantastic views from both room and balcony of the beach, sea, reef and mini-islands, and of palm forested hills to the side. You can just about view both sunrise and sunset given the way the balconies face. The hotel is situated down a track off the main road which makes a lovely walk by day, and is not an issue for evenings as most restaurants in Candidasa do free taxi pick-ups and drop-offs. It is very near to the Lotus pond which is lovely to visit before c 10.30 a.m. after which the flowers close up. Candidasa area is highly recommended for a stay of c 5 nights as we did to experience a quiter more traditional part of Bali.. Hotel breakfasts were excellent although included regular coffee not the best and probably worth paying for a cappuccino or latte some days. They are so accommodating they opened breakfast early for us one morning when we had an early start trek scheduled. It was nice to meet and chat to the managers, Aldo and Francesca, who were charming and had interesting tales to tell. The hotel has the very relaxed feel and vibe of a family-run hotel with friendly and smiling staff. Despite not being new it is well maintained and the pool area and gardens are beautiful.

Beautiful, ocean views and quiet
Beautiful seaside with ocean views, delicious breakfast included, in a quiet area of Bali but a short walk to warungs. You can get a local fisherman to take you snorkelling. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We could not fault the place and will return.

Such great value for money. One of the only places in Candidasa that has an actual beach. The rooms were large with nice terraces or balconies. Super clean and comfortable. The hotel is maintained really well. The food is good and consistent. The pool and grounds were great and the staff super friendly. Overall I enjoyed my stay here and would go back again. Candidasa is like Bali in the 80’s/90’s. Laid back, chilled and quiet. It’s certainly not a foodie or nightlife destination. 3 days was perfect.

We had a wonderful 8 day stay at Hotel Genggong.It's a small family run hotel ,with stunning ocean views .We spoilt ourselves and stayed in the Royal room ,which was very roomy with a super comfy king size bed .The block out curtains ensured a great night sleep .There is a smart TV, but we were too busy watching the activities on the ocean to watch it .The fishing boats headed out in the morning and returned with their catch mid morning.In the afternoon families came down to fly kites and then the night fishermen came down to fish off the jetties. The beach is small but clean ( the "trash heros" were there cleaning during our stay ) The staff at the hotel were always friendly and helpful ,quick to answer any questions I had prior to our arrival.The room, pool and gardens are spotless . The hotel is located within easy walking distance of town but far enough away to be very quiet and peaceful . in short ,we can't wait to go back to stay

Genggong CandiDasa - perfect place to relax
Excellent ocean views and access. Great service, delicious food and refreshing drinks. Try the snakebite! All for much lower price than most ocean front resorts in Bali. If partying and crowds is your thing, this is not the place. But if you seek relaxation, tranquility, peace and comfort, Hotel Genggong CandiDasa is the perfect place. There is plenty to do around like snorkeling from the pier in front of the hotel, rice field trekking, temple visits, and plenty of evening hangout places within walking distance.

Absolutely stunning sea views. Small hotel with various room options. We recommend the premium rooms on 2nd floor offering a sensational view from the bed and balcony. Lovely staff, a la carte breakfast options and bar service. Dinners at the restaurant were lovely, tasty food and nice service. Pool was wonderful, comfy sun loungers and direct beach access.

Everything about our stay at this hotel was excellent. The rooms, staff, peaceful location, pool, gardens all made this our favourite stop. It is only a short walk to shops and warungs though the location is so quiet and peaceful. The restaurant is on the beach front and serves a good variety of meals all day. You can ocean swim in front of the resort or arrange a fishing or snorkelling trip with the local fishermen. Highly recommended.

The most stunning view from the rooms, outdoor restaurant and poolside. The owners have exquisite taste and it shines throughout the property and in the smiles of their guests and employees! The ocean is only a few steps from your door and welcomes fishing, snorkeling, sailing, diving and of course swimming or simply floating.

The Hotel Genggong was a great property, the room was very clean. The staff were fantastic and friendly. This is a great place to relax and unwind. It is also close to restaurants and some small shops to buy supplies

Amazing! The staff is by far and away the best part. And that is saying a lot because the facilities, location and food are all top notch. I stayed here for almost a full month in September 2019. I had the top floor room with a balcony and a perfect view of the ocean. In the morning you can watch the local fishermen bring in their catch. Enjoy breakfast on the beach. Go for a swim in the pool or go snorkeling right in front of the hotel. I tried almost everything on the menu and you can’t go wrong. Whether you get the King Prawns or the steak or anything else the food is well cooked and delicious. The facilities are spotless. The beds and comfortable. The rooms spacious. The water pressure in the showers are inviting and the water hot. There really is no reason to ever leave but if you want to then Candidasa is a short walk. This is the perfect Bali getaway. Avoid the drunks and the crowds of Kuta and Denpasar. Candidasa is a little over an hour up the coast and it is quaint and beautiful. The hotel manager and his family sometimes hang out on the weekends and after a conversation with them you will quickly see why with all the amenities that the staff is the best part of this place. A few weeks into my trip I decided to go to Kuta for a weekend just to see what the rest of Bali was like. Honestly, I couldn’t get back to Genggong fast enough. And when the taxi pulled into the parking lot and I was welcomed by the staff I had this weird feeling that I had come back home.

Amazing hotel on the beach
Located directly on the beach this hotel is very pleasant. The view from the room is breathtaking and it is really nice to wake up with the view on a palm tree and the see Nice swimming pool. The room was big and with a huge balcony Breakfast is great with a lot of options and big servings. We also tried the spa where the staff is simply perfect and the massage so great after a long day

When you walk up to reception you will see the amazing view that awaits you . I had the deluxe Seaview room and it was making , the restaurant on site was very cheap compared to Seminyak prices , the cocktails where good and reasonably priced , I liked how you just signed a bill after dinner or room service and the bill was tallied up at the end of your stay , and then you can give tip for staff in box at reception at check out In the morning the fishing boats unload the catch from the night on the small beach outside the hotel Hotel is for couples or solos wanting a getaway from the craziness of Kuta Seminyak and just read by the pool and relax unwind

A super facility, friendly, knowledgeable staff that give first class service. rooms and villa were modern,clean and well maintained, great location, every room had an ocean view, quiet off the main highway and within walking distance to stores and other facilities, food was excellent with fresh fish on the menu from the local fisherman right off the beach

Evetything is excellant, room is big, bed a bit firm, great bathroom and shower, fabulous view, beautiful pool walking distant to main cafes etc and staff are amazing

The room was lovely as were the staff. Situation is a great spot right in front of the sea. Breakfast was good. Only criticism is the spa. Musty smell.

The best place in Bali
We have been to Genggong several times before and it is one of our favorite hotels. The staff is so friendly and professional. The rooms are a nice size with comfortable bed and lots of pillows. The wifi is excellant. The location can't be beat. The view is amazing with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We always have the same room with a view overlooking the sea and the small fishing village on the other side of the gate. The rooms are very clean as is the pool and the grounds around the hotel. The breakfast is very nice with two western and two Indonesian choices. The food in the restaurant is also very good. We can't wait until we're back next time.

The location is fantastic, right on the ocean. Food is great. Grounds are maintained impeccably. The best part is the staff, they were so friendly and always went out of their way to help.

A hidden gem in Bali. Just next to beach. All the rooms got sea view. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Whole place is sound polution free. You will just hear the sea.

Beautiful little hotel. Fantastic sea views. Room and bed so comfy. Mini bar reasonably priced and re-stocked daily. Staff so polite, helpful and friendly. Gardener diligently working all day to maintain exquisite gardens. Food in restaurant, tasty and beautifully presented. Beach small but interesting with all the pretty fishing boats. Area quiet but some good bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect place to relax by the sea. Each room has ocean views looking over a pictureque grass area with palm trees and local fishing boats. The Hotel only has 17 rooms so it is not crowded and very quiet. Staff are all fantastic and rooms are very clean. Great place to just sit and swim the days away.
