The room had several issues. There were 2 air conditioning units both of which had out of service signs. There was a 3rd unit with a remote that kicked out warm air. The base of the toilet on the floor was seeping water. The shower temp was turned up so hot that you could not touch the plumbing with out getting burned. Also, the shower was very hard to get the correct water temp. Lastly, the coffee table was very loose. Served its purpose but wouldn’t stay there again.

Spacious rooms and friendly staff, very attentive to our needs. Especially enjoyed the pickle ball courts and disc golf; No luck with fishing though:/ Sofa sleeper not comfortable but worked well just to put the mattress on the floor. Needs new bags for cornhole and shuffleboard stick. Pizza and wings really tasty! Shower didn’t work but we took baths and I’m sure they‘ll fix it before the next person. Nice sitting area and charcoal grill on the patio. Lots of kids activities, but still quiet by our room

I don't know if I'll go back. They didn't have a band and was looking forward to relaxing with some music. The house we stayed in didn't have light outside and if we didn't bring our own it was pitch black. Big safety hazard. Couldn't fish in the big pond because the house was rented? It's called sharing ..I couldn't wah clothes because the washers were broken. The whole Laundromat full of washers and they all didn't work? The fridge is so small if you were staying for a week you couldn't keep anything in it. They wanted you to take your trash to the dumpster but didn't give you any more trash bags. We wanted more pillows and blankets for the pull out bed. They were kinda hesitant to give us any but they brought us some. Kinda disappointed this time and I have stayed there a couple times. It was like we were bothering them. For the money they charge if I want extra blankets and pillows don't give me a hard time about it. Don't know if I'll be back or not. Usually it's pretty good. When they had bingo they had kids in charge of it and when told the lady at the desk she was surprised. Come on...they knew who doing it.

**BRING BLANKETS AND TOWELS*** Our stay was wonderful, relaxing and quiet, however we were traveling and booked off Expedia, blankets and towels is something we assumed we included. Wasn't a deal breaker, we enjoyed our cabin and the facilities, we traveled about 20 minutes to a Walmart and grabbed some. Just figured anyone looking ahead would need to know this info!

Extremely dirty. Flees in one of the rooms beds. Have attempted for months to get a call back for some sort of compensation with no return call. We stayed in the cabin suite, dirty dirty floors, rough towels, hair in shower drain, sheets had stains.

Basswood is a very family friendly resort with so many activities. The staff is attentive and friendly. The general store is perfect for those needing supplies. Their pizza shop makes delicious food. We enjoyed our stay so much, we booked for next year and are going to stay longer!
