Hidden gem in the city

Beautiful property and outstanding staff members and amazing food. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at and I’ve been to 91 countries ! I’d recommend to anybody!

A hidden gem next to bustly Kandy! The staff is great, always looking to please guest. They had recommended to rent a tuk-tuk for the day with a local and we enjoyed all the visits. We were also very pleased to swim in the pool after the visits. Thanks!

Amazing Taru Villas

Fantastic hotel, beautiful room, super staff and service. The food concept was amazing🙏 Only issue was a to much humidity and that room 1 was not cleared for this. Amazingly quiet staying at the hotel, with the very high trafic by the road in front of the hotel. And that the train passed the just behind the hotel. We didn’t hear a thing👏We stayed in other Taru Villa - a great hotel chain of special small hotels. Can highly recommend!!

Beautiful and genuine hotel

We celebrated New Year’s Eve here and had a wonderful 24h at this hotel. The staff is super friendly, the restaurant offers a wide variety of good food, and the whole atmosphere at the hotel is calm, inviting and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and we got an outdoor “living room” outside our room, right by the pool. We will be back if we/when we come back to Kandy

This is a very nice small hotel. Room was spacious for the three of us (my husband, me and my son), comfortable bed and clean. however, this is situated on a very noisy road and also the train passes next to the hotel. nevertheless i was so tired that it was not a problem sleeping.

A very classy place

Taru Villas backs onto the railway, which is absolutely charming, watching the odd train come by while eating dinner on the terrace. The joy of the place is that it's an oasis in the middle of town - don't let reviews put you off that say it's noisy as when it comes to bedtime we did not hear a thing from our room with the ceiling fan on. It's location means it's just a £3 tuktuk from all the main sights. The service is second to none, nothing is too much trouble and when arriving/returning, the GM ensured we were properly hosted throughout and we were made teas and little snacks on the house. The dinner, which was included, was delicious, but for me it was the breakfast that was standout - don't miss it! Also the rooms would work well for families with a child as each room has a day bed which converts.
