The outside of the hotel and the lobby/common spaces look great, but my room was beat up and dirty. There was a layer of dust and dirt on the baseboards, all of the baseboards were beat up and scratched, the wallpaper was peeling, the floor tile and bathtub tile had dirty, stained grout, the bathtub faucet was loose and moving, the kitchen dish rack looked like it had never been cleaned and the air conditioners did not work properly. I booked a room with a bedroom suite so my guests and I could stay. The pullout couch for a second bed was an uncomfortable joke. When I expressed my concerns about the dirty room and uncomfortable couch bed, the front staff looked like they could care less and didn’t offer any solutions. I showed pictures of how the baseboards and kitchen area was dirty and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years, yet it was not offered to be cleaned or cleaned in the next days of my stay. When I showed the pictures at check out, I was met with the same careless attitude at the front desk. My friends ended up booking another room on the same floor, which was also filthy. There were rings on the coffee table, the blinds were broken, the bathroom sink tap was broken and it was just overall dirty. While we appreciated that they comped that room AFTER they paid for it, instead of before (like they didn’t believe us), two dirty rooms are preventable and not up to the service standard of these expensive rooms.
