I was initially concerned w/lack of air conditioning and then noticed the Banyan Tree Sanctuary is at a higher elevation with beautiful weather and breezes year round. Funky, older furniture but comfortable bed, clean and very spacious room. The view of the coast is fantastic and they have their own nature trail around the property where you discover a hidden tree house and other hidden gems.
Beautiful, tranquil spot. I was very busy with tourist things during my stay & didn’t get to enjoy the hot tub & pool. Next time! I would definitely recommend this for those who aren’t interested in the hustle-bustle scene.
This is an extraordinary place, beautifully nestled at the top of a narrow tree-lined road, designed to blend into the landscape. It's high, and the view of the sea is grand. Well appointed, with a salt-water pool and very nice communal areas. We stayed only one night, a stopover between Kona airport and the drive to Hilo. We left thinking we would like to stay again, perhaps stay two nights. Lovely hosts.
Need a place to sleep for the night near Kona. Banyan Tree Sanctuary was a quiet, beautiful place. My room was big and comfortable. I watched the sunset from the lanai. Very peaceful. Everything was clean and cozy. I did not use the pool or common area with an outdoor kitchen for I was not there for every long.
Rae was quick to text me and available by text. Rae had another commitment and she left a note on the entrance which directed me to my room. Beautful place on the end of a quiet road. Highly recommend to stay.
My stay at Ray's Bayan Tree Resort was an enchanting escape into nature's embrace. The serene ambiance, melodious bird songs, and breathtaking natural beauty created a magical setting. Here's why it was an unforgettable experience:
1. **Pool and Spa Delight**: The resort's pool and hot tub offered heavenly relaxation with zen views. I cherished every moment soaking in the warm water, surrounded by tranquil beauty.
2. **Nature's Symphony**: The melodious birdsong throughout the day was like a soothing soundtrack, adding to the peaceful atmosphere and connection with nature.
3. **Scenic Natural Beauty**: The resort's surroundings, from lush greenery to majestic trees, provided a picturesque backdrop, perfect for nature enthusiasts.
4. **Relaxing Atmosphere**: Ray's Bayan Tree Resort exuded a calming vibe, allowing me to unwind fully and escape the usual hustle and bustle.
5. **Exceptional Host Communication**: The host's attentive and accommodating communication ensured a seamless and enjoyable stay, adding to the overall experience.
In summary, Ray's Bayan Tree Resort offers a magical retreat for those seeking relaxation and natural beauty. I can't wait to return to this paradise and experience its charm once again!
Very beautiful surroundings. Beautiful gardens at the facility. Awesome distant view of miles of seacoast from the Lanai outside our Sunset Suite. Beautiful sunsets. The Sunset Suite has a kitchen, so we prepared quit a few meals and ate on the Lanai at sunrise and sunset nearly every day. So restful and quiet. Get away from it all, No television, No radio. No bar, No restaurant, No gift shop. Just a place to relax, meditate and enjoy the natural beauty. There is a saltwater pool, spa and a sauna.
Easily accessible, located off the beaten path, Only 5 miles from the airport and 5 miles from Kono. The Sanctuary is on 3.3 acres of flowers, trees and orchards. Free fresh fruit from the orchard available every day. This is Paradise and the owners Benjamin, Maggie and Rae are their every day to lovingly care for the facility and grounds and assure that your stay is an experience you will cherish for a lifetime. There are only 4 guest houses available so there were only 6 to 8 other guests on the property during our 7 day stay. There is a nurture trail that is a little challenging but worth the effort. If you love peace, quiet and nature you will not find a better destination.
We absolutely loved our stay, the beauty and the energy is so soothing. There was excellent communication, The room was well appointed and the kitchen area very well-thought-out. So many amenities that made you feel right at home. I wish we would have stayed longer.
I appreciated how attentive the staff was to our needs and available if we had questions. The sanctuary has a large selection of freshly grown produce and “crack your own” macadamia nuts on the property that they generously make available for guests at no charge. The hot tub at the end of a long day was heaven and open late.
