"We had an allergy problem. My son is allergic to tree nuts and peanuts. We made the staff and gm aware if it right away. They have all good labeled but had a chicken dish that said chicken and fruit. Come to find out it had Brazil nuts in it. As my son was taking his first bite of chicken ( it was in his mouth). The staff ran out with a fresh piece of chicken and told him it had Brazil nuts in it. When we questioned the GM she said that Brazil nuts are not tree nuts which they are in fact....

IKAM Riverview Amazon Lodge - Asociado Casa Andina

8/10 Good

"Pros: the grounds were beautiful, comfy bed, AC. Cons: no services nearby, must take a taxi into town to get anywhere. Pricing of meals and activities not inclusive so you pay a lot at check out. There is nowhere else to eat so you have to eat there. The dinners were great, free breakfast was not too good and the same everyday. Activities were very limited. The best was Lake Sandoval, it was so beautiful. The manager was nice and helped me out a lot. Lots of wildlife on property. We saw a ton of birds and even some monkeys."

"Had a great stay at this hotel. Very nice roof top pool, nice roof top restaurant. Great location with nice views. Stay were kind and helpful. Rooms were clean, cute. Small in size but we had just a standard room. For our purpose we were ok with the small space. My only issue with the room and we stayed in two different rooms, was there was a weird order. I am not sure if this was due to the humidity/dampness of being near the jungle, but both our rooms had a wire smell. It was ok and we didn’t make a complaint about it as it was minimal but something worth noting. Oh and if you are a TV person, both our tvs did not work with clear screens. Again, very minor and we didn’t not mention it as we were not bothered."

The resort has an activity where you crack open the Brazil nuts from the on property Brazil nut trees. We immediately gave our son Benadryl so he was okay thankfully but we did bit appreciate the gms lane lie. Please be aware and very clear if any allergies. We thought we had been. It was very scary and upsetting for us all."
