"Stayed one night after a late night arrival to the airport before moving on to a resort hotel. I made arrangements with the hotel to be picked up at the airport. I confirmed the pick up on the day before and the day of my arrival. Yet, when I arrived I saw signs for many people but none with my name. After waiting 15-20 minutes I took a cab. The hotel then had the temerity to tell me that the driver was there and had waited 20 minutes. No! I paid in advance for breakfast. It was underwhelming....

"Treetop by Eight Continents Zanzibar exceeded all our expectations. It is an excellent choice for solo travellers, couples and families, and in my opinion, this resort is seriously underrated. "Overall the property has a lot of potential. The grounds were quite overgrown and unkempt, and the rooms while tidy, had poor finishing particularly with respect painting, where there was paint all over everything. The timber shutters on the terrace doors were broken, one set didn't close at the bottom. The wifi was very unstable through the property, and could not maintain a connection. In the room it did not work at all, and I was unable to do my work until later in the first evening when the...

"Wonderful! The staff can't do enough for you. The hotel is clean, the rooms are lovely, the view spectacular. From Yacinta at the front desk, to Agustino, Kelvin and Alfred in the bar and restaurant, to Chef Ali and the delicious food, every one really cared for us and wanted to make sure we were having a great time. Even the groundsmen and the housekeepers had a lovely smile and ask about your day, honestly I can't speak highly enough. A great experience, wish we didnt have to leave!"
