Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Disliked: Staff & service
The property is beautiful and clean. I had I huge problem because I didn’t have a local sim, and without calling the staff you can’t enter their property as the intercom doesn’t work and once the staff let you in, they are nowhere to be found unless you call them on phone again. No Wi-Fi as well
The location was wrong and we struggled to find the reception. The room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned, there was still pee in the toilet from the previous person. The furniture was also very old and out of date.
The place was very bad the main gate was not working the tv not working the was no water we had to use outside bathroom it was very bad there was no pots to prepare food but when you see the place you get tempted but the place is rubbish
The gate took forever to open, no way of knowing where the reception area was as there were no clear instructions where to go. A lady walked me to my room, showed her my booking & automatically told me i had not paid. Literally sat with me instead of going to check until i requested she do so thrice. No hotwater, had 2 single beds pulled together when we requested a double bed. She left with our room key, didn't knock when we requested toilet paper. No towels were provided. Left during the night. Could not handle the stay
The place was in s poor condition. The stuff were shocked by arrival, as if I hadn't mad the reservation a few days prior, and they needed to prepare everything once I had arrived. The cottage was rather dirty & hadn't been cleaned or opened for s few weeks. The cottage looked nothing like the pictures, the furniture was falling apart. Blinds could close properly. Once you arrive at the property as guest, you are asked to pay a deposit for both key for cottage & remote to access property, this to me seems rather ludacris. The state of the property was shocking. They didn't even provide towels for me. The shower door was unhinged, could be properly closed. The stuff rather appeared oblivious to all of the aforementioned and seemed belligerent when I started notifying about the problems the property has.
Staff we unfair in dealing with the booking, chasing me to provide proof of payment when they aleady had booking and credit card confirmation from Expedia in their email. They claimed that they "usually take cash" for Expedia bookings. They also offered me a room different to the one advertised. They asked me to then pay additional fees to get an ensuite bathroom. Property is stated as 4 Star but is barely 2 star. After 3 hours of this process I decided to cancel and leave. They refused to refund me even though I had clearly not used the room.
I am disgusted also at the attitude of the staff during this. Treated me with distrust, disdain and disinterest. Would not wish their 'un-bothered' service on anyone. Both Moses & Patricia were utterly rude.
Upon arrival I was told the Guest house had been overbooked and as a result I could be given a room in one of the back packers dormitories. Upon inspection, the rooms were constructed by material used for cold rooms. The beds were old, squeaky and poorly maintained. The room was infested by mosquitos as well, it was a utterly deploring experience.
