「Incredibly beautiful, restored ancient property; rooms are palatial and the design is impeccable. The AC didn't work while we were there but we survived with a giant fan that the hotel offered us!」

「Its a great experience living in the barrel. Every customer staying there include one wine tasting tour, understand more about Port wine. However, moving there or other spots might possibly need to drive. No public transport reaching the area.」

「This was our first stay at Douro Palace and as we arrived and parked up we were amazed with location and appearance of the site. We were really pleased with the welcome we received and then when we arrived at our room, which we had booked with a river view, were amazed with the view - we’d really recommend a river view room. We enjoyed the outdoor pool that was available 24 hours with a bar open in the daytime. We ate both nights we stayed at the restaurant which had really good portion sizes...

「I so wish I had more than one night. The staff (2eonderful ladies) at the front desk were amazing. They have a local cab driver who is remarkable. Wonderful breakfast, beautiful grounds and I easily would have paid double for my incredible suite. Need to treat and pamper yourself ??? This is the place !!!! 」

「Quinta da Raj ligger ca 10 min bilresa från Peso da Regua med fantastisk utsikt. Allt var perfekt, från inredningen och utsikten till värdskapet av Valeria och Paul. Rekommenderar varmt och skulle verkligen vilja åka tillbaka. 」

「Lovely hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The spa was heaven as the indoor pool, hot tub and Turkish bath were included. I didn't see the sense in having to buy the shower cap/swimming cap as it wasn't waterproof 」

「What can I say about this hotel it’s set in the beautiful Douro valley on the river front surrounded by the mountains, in Porto Antigo, the staff are very friendly and helpful the bar is well stocked and the food is very good. We would definitely recommend it and will return in the future. 」
