Great place, rooms are new and balconies are nice! I tried to check in early and they told me they charge $75 for early check in….stayed many places in my lifetime and never had issue especially at a Casino where they want you to spend your money on gambling and drinks. So that’s reason for 4 stars. Went to rooftop restaurant and had dinner outside at the Perch restaurant. Food was very good service was super slow but it was ok we had live music and the view was insane!

Beds were excellent, bathroom had a smell of urine maybe wasn’t cleaned properly. We had dinner at Twelve bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers and wings were amazing highly recommended. Salmon was good burger and fries looked good but were warm as if it had been sitting out for a minute. Drinks were ok very syrupy not much alcohol in them at least couldn’t taste over all the syrup. Casino was fun had a great time.

The best thing about this resort was that it was new and for me, close to where I needed to be. They constantly promote their nightclub which seemed pretty dead, despite the loud bumping music. That can be solved by ear plugs if you’re in a room farthest from the pool on the 4th floor. The most challenging part is the customer service. I checked in and you can tell that it’s disorganized. On the back table behind the front desk you can see that there’s several packets of “How to check in guests for registration” scattered around so you can only assume that there are a lot of new staff. The issue was the staff that did seemed experienced were not friendly at all. I had an incident with Brianna where I had a late checkout confirmed by a newer employee on the phone and Brianna didn’t see it in the system. This entire time she did not crack a smile and gave me attitude. It made me feel very uncomfortable. Most of the slightly more experienced staff act like they’re doing you a huge favor when they assist you to check in. It’s so unfortunate because the property itself is beautiful, while on the other hand, customer service in the same vein would be very ugly.

The room was clean and very open… loved having a balcony. The reception desk employee (Kyle) was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool has an excellent vibe. The Perch restaurant was excellent. John our waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly and great sense of humor . We were there celebrating an engagement and he took the time to go out of his way to make them feel very special…. Thanks Chicken Ranch for a great first time experience… didn’t disappoint!!!

Rented 2 high end valley view rooms 6th floor. Checked in at 4. Gave us One very nice view room. The other a room 2 floors up overlooking employee parking lot and two utility buildings that people yelled and banged equipment all night. Room had mold smell to it. Asked for another room as described. Told need to wait for one to be cleaned. Waited 3 1/2 hours. At 7:30pm finally called. No compensation or even free check out offered. They couldnt care less.

It is a large hotel/casino at the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas near Sonora CA. It is a great stop location for those on their way in or out of the wilderness looking for a nice place to stay with entertainment built in. It is also good for those looking to stay at a nice place while exploring Sonora and the surrounding area.

I will never stay here again. The rooms and the pool were nice but… I got there at 2 pm and they charge me 75.00 for an early check in. I expect that in Vegas when you get to the hotel early in the morning and check in is at 3:00 in the afternoon but not at a casino in the middle of nowhere and it is less than two hours til check in. Also, the night club was so loud it kept me awake well past midnight and I was on the 5th floor!
