Nice place to stay. The bed is comfortable. Pool is small like 10-15m. Super nice Gym well equipped. Room was dirty with sandy floor, a lot of hair and dust behind the night stand and bed. Water will pool as you shower and drain away super slowly. The cup had white stuff inside.

Poorly maintained!
The hotel was old and not well-maintained. The room was dinged and dirt, the bathroom was unclean, for example, the shower curtain had visible, black stain marks. Not what I would expect from a 4-star hotel

The hotel is a pleasant oasis in the chaos of Jakarta! Its convenient for Blok M and facilities and there are plenty of restaurants and shops withing close walking distance. The road junction just beside the hotel can be chaotic. The hotel is very clean and quiet with all staff being friendly and helpful. The check in and check out was particularly quick and efficient.

A bit of faded glory
A nice place to stay with a couple of minutes walk to block M shopping mall and buses to the city centre and the north. The hotel shows a few sign of age .. faded grandeur really. Very good breakfast. Excellent helpful staff. Views on one side of the hotel just the neighbouring block.

Old and badly maintained room
Room was badly maintained and dusty. Shower was half broken with water spraying at certain angle. bed sheet and blanket full with stain...feeling awful.

Pleasant but a shadow of its past glory
Old-style hotel in a slightly downmarket area. The famous English breakfast is now history as creeping Islamisation removes non-halal items from the kitchen

Room 4408. Not pleased with the water pressure for shower, too low. The water drainage was somewhat clogged up resulting mini floods everytime I showered. Quite an old hotel, parking facilities at basement could be improved further.

Overall I do like the hotel, I always stay in This Hotel everytime I come to Jakarta.The only thing I do not like is all the cafetaria at This hotel are to smoky ..!!! The smell are awful and make my eyes hurt,it So uncomfortable . I have to go out some where else if I want to meet up or hang out with my friends or Family,

Decaying hotel with no inspiration
Below average, decaying hotel with subpar staff. Room was noisy (very loud AC), old, and had mysterious electrical switches, one of which would turn off whole room's power until I had to call engineering. Shower not so clean. Gym woman gave me grief for going to gym to fill up water bottle (to avoid always using plastic bottles) and made me sign into the gym to do so. Front desk and door staff friendly, though. Overpriced breakfast. Dirty spa. Unfriendly staff. Won't be back.

Old hotel in need of an upgrade but comfortable
Great location opposite Pasaraya mall. Rooms are dated but still comfortable and service is good except one rude receptionist who made me wait to check in despite being the only one there! Food is excellent and reasonably priced. Had the best Thai chicken curry there! This would be a top hotel if rooms get updated with modern fixings and flat tv. A very pleasant stay nevertheless!

Great value in Blok M
This hotel is a great value in the Blok M area. Everything is good and up to international standards. Only drawback was the absence of a single electrical outlet in the bathroom! Unless you require opulence, this respectable hotel is a great option and a great value.

Strategic Hotel
This hotel is used to be my favourite hotel while I visited Jakarta but decrease in quality standards now. Located in the center of Kebayoran area south Jakarta. Easy access to shopping and night life area. Hotel is aged, staff performance is kind of slow. What was the most frustrated is that WIFI connection is very poor and slow. We can hear lots of noise from upstairs and corridor which is not comfortable at night. You choose to stay there only for it's strategic location

A great Hotel in Jakarta!
This hotel makes for an excellent stay in Jakarta. The location worked well for us with a mall nearby for essential shopping. The restaurant was great (had breakfast, lunch, and dinner). The staff was very helpful and efficient. The pool was a nice pleasant treat. Will return!

Ambhara Hotel Jakarta
My first visit to Ambhara in 14 years, the rate was excellent for a junior suit as I was conducting interviews. A little tired, but after all that time to be expected, the suite was perfect, the staff excellent, as was the service, and the location is good for forays along Surdiman and Rasuna Said. Opposite Passaraya so shopping and food handy. Overall, was pleasantly surprised, still a nice friendly hotel and good location.
