I was impressed by the design of this hotel. It was beautiful and a welcoming stay. Me and friends stay here to catch some sleep and we wished we stayed longer so we can enjoy the pool bar & spa.

Very nice hotel with great service and good restraurant. Area was so so and it take a 10 minute walk to the beach which were way to rough for swimming. Great for a couple of days stay.

Everyone is very nice. They sent me a shuttle from the airport last minute because my rental car agency was no good. I was able to walk to the beach and Uber to Jacó and the Carara National Park easily. The pool and swim up bar were nice and the rooms seemed almost brand new. Thank you for a lovely week!

This hotel is beautiful! The service was fantastic; everyone was friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed! We loved the pool and the food at the restaurant. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great staff. Very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was always great with lots of options. Bikes were free to use but all need tune ups as gears don’t shift / chains are rusty… Limited views but nice overall pool / deck. Great for the price of you are looking to use as a home base for excursions.

The staff was very friendly! The room was clean, However it had a terrible shower which was either too hot or too cold- no in between. I asked for it to be repaired 4 times and they did nothing!! Also, the tv was terrible! It would work very intermittently and shut down after 5 minutes constantly!! I also asked have this looked into numerous times to no avail. I would never stay there again

Paradise Bay Boutique hotel was an excellent value for the location. The rooms were in great condition and true to the photos online. Every staff member was open, friendly, helpful and offered great customer service. The food was excellent too. Special compliments to the staff Genesis, Coral, Alicia, Hemler, Mario, Brandon, et al, for making me feel valued and welcomed every day of my stay. Compliments to Flori for an excellent spa treatment. The local beach with 4 restaurant venues was inviting and safe and a popular local and tourist location. I Ubered to most of my outings which worked well. I recommend Google translator as a tool to communicate in the local language. It worked well. I will come back one day!

Four day NY stay
We stayed four nights and were surprised that what is listed in hotel amenities is not at all accurate. It says memory foam beds, beds were hard as a rock and front desk says they have no memory foam beds. I ended up sleeping on the sofa away from my husband because the beds were so terrible. Amenities are also supposed to include in room safe, per the description. No in room safe, only a safe in the lobby. Doors were not locked by card, but by a code, which is fine…but I feel safer with a card, just preference. Room cleaning service came once over four days, just after the first night, so that was also a bummer. No live TV so New Year’s Day football games were missed. Rooms and lobby are STRONGLY scented. I had to find and remove the plug in scent device because it was overwhelming. Rain shower head didn’t function properly, small stream of water down the middle with a spattering of sprinkles. Also fluctuated between scalding hot and cold. The staff was super nice at check in, but nobody is there overnight (after 10pm) and property is totally dark. Room was big and bright, so that was nice. Restaurant staff was very nice as well.

Nice hotel overall. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has good food. The mattress was hard as a board. We only stayed two nights, but it messed up my neck and my husband's back. You can't hear people in the adjoining rooms, but you hear people in the pool or the loud music when there's entertainment.

The room had a couple dirty areas. We had to call reception to have someone clean the toilet since it was dirty, other than that, the hotel is a cute small boutique with a delicious restaurant and great staff

The hotel feels new and clean with imaginative layout and nice, large rooms with great amenities. It is obviously a repurposed building still in transition, though it doesn’t feel like you’re in a construction zone as renovations are on the opposite side of where completed rooms are. Kudos to the developer who saw its potential. Young staff eager to please. Excellent breakfast. Short walk to beach and restaurants.

Fabulous
Everything about this hotel was fantastic! They are clearly service-driven and focused on details. The room was spotless and had everything we needed - by far the best hotel we stayed at in CR (and there were many). The location is great if you're on foot - just a few mins walk to the beach, to some restaurants, and liquor/convenience stores. Even though there was a list of included breakfast options, the kitchen was able to accommodate my friend who is gluten intolerant and myself who is vegan. I would absolutely stay here again!

This place is amazing! The staff speaks English very well and are very helpful. The rooms are huge and decorated very tasteful. Easy access for handicapped people. We are not, but for the elderly people it would be great. Walk in shower and no stairs into the lobby or the rooms (first floor). Well maintained elevator to the second floor.

Our room was the worst room I have ever stayed in. It didn’t look like the pictures at all. There were stains on the furniture. We left the hotel within 1 hr . The room had a musty smell that was bothering my throat, the hotel tried to cover this up with a very strong perfume smell. My wife felt very unsafe at this property. They didn’t even have any staff on overnight. To make matters worse we were supposed to be there for 5 nights and the hotel refused to refund us at all. Please think twice before booking this hotel.

Property looked amazing in the pictures and the room and pool really was great! Updated and beautiful. Bathroom was not updated. Toilet had stains. Shower did not drain properly. Shower door did not close properly. They are working on renovating the property and we were the only guests staying at night so it was alittle spooky. Breakfast and service was amazing.

Honestly it’s much better than it looks in the pictures. The room is big, clean and comfy. The restaurant staff (Rodrigo) is the best. He knew we needed to leave early, so he had our breakfast ready for us! The hotel is located close to the marina, 20 min from playa Blanca, literally paradise, and 30 min from Carara national park. Overall experience was much better than expected.

Easy walk to the beach. However the Herradura and Jaco areas were the first and only place in Costa Rica where people were Not "Pura Vida". Rude, in fact. The hotel is fine, the restaurant was great and the staff were great. I would avoid Jaco at all costs.

A really mixed bag.
Bed was exceptionally hard, honestly not very easy to sleep in. Swim-up bar seems to be closed during the off season, though the pool was nice. The second restaurant is a public beach bar, and the access to the associated "beach club" is kind of unclear (and it is an extra cost to get a chair and umbrella). We did love having the free shuttle to the beach. The restaurant on the premises was just OK for the price, though the service was great and we truly loved the breakfast (free!). Room smelled a little musty, but was nicely appointed. Honestly, place felt a little empty and weird, perhaps due to it being the rainy season?
