From the moment we arrived, Elizabeth and Selwyn made us feel genuinely welcome — their warmth, friendliness and attention to detail truly go above and beyond. The food was absolutely fabulous — beautifully prepared, delicious, and thoughtfully presented, making each meal feel like a real treat. The lodge itself is perfectly located, offering peace, comfort and stunning surroundings that make it incredibly hard to leave. We honestly wish we could have stayed longer. If you’re planning a visit, do yourself a favour and stay at least two nights — one simply isn’t enough to soak in the atmosphere, hospitality and magic of this special place. A truly memorable stay — we can’t wait to return"

"The room was well appointed, clean, comfy. Lovely view out to the river. The team did a great job making us feel welcome. They even booked a table in advance for us for dinner which is a good thought so we don’t miss out if the restaurant is full. The continental breakfast was good too, they even packet the night before for us to have in our room since we were leaving early the next morning. Nothing negative to say. Great value for money. I would stay again. "

"This is our second visit. This is because the amenities are excellent and of top quality in furnishings and bedding. Breakfast is supplied in the fridge and with packets of cereal and a good selection of beverages. We loved our stay here."
