Good and big in old area not recommend for old and week people ... far from transport... need power to walk to reach the street From the bottom of the slope to the top... superket near very nice man .. need to emprove the cleaning on the roof

Old hotel, not expensive. No elevator. Poorly lit stairs. Bathroom shower not clean, black mold around the shower wall. Breakfast supposed to be available at extra cost, claims to be a restaurant but not even a coffee available on the day we left.

The people made it worth it.

It’s an old hotel and not the cleanest we’ve stayed in. The AC leaked but did the job well enough and the water pressure was variable. Breakfast was simple but a nice bonus. The location is great and the cost is reasonable. Both the terrace upstairs and the back garden were nice additions. The people who work here are what made it worthwhile for us- super friendly, helpful and kind.

The Sphendon is a charming, old hotel in Istanbul. It’s walking distance to everything you need when exploring. The free breakfast was a nice added touch. The staff were great and we enjoyed our stay. If you have mobility issues - this is not the place for you as there is no elevator. The rooms are small but you get what you pay for. We would stay here again.

Nice place, quiet and close to all amnesties

I enjoyed staying at this hotel, the staff is very nice and helpful. When I got there I was tired and my room is not ready yet so they offered me the big family room for no extra charge. That was very nice. The location is very good it’s close to all the public places. I enjoyed staying here and will definitely come back. Thank you Hotel staff

Recommendation of the hotel

I liked the hotel. It was cosy and nice. Quiet, nice view to the historical green wall with birds that sing.. only the room was very tide, small size and cleaning stuff was a bit noisy in the morning, plus, be careful with the breakfast - guess it wasnt vry fresh, i got intoxicated...But in summary, according to the price/quality, I would recommend this 🏩.. though i saw they topped up the price now.. so u think?..

Staff was very helpful , the most kind people at front desk , the overnight guy was outstanding in service . Even though it is not a high star hotel , it is very good in everything , clean, service, good breakfast , walking distance from everything , it couldn’t be better .

Great location within walking distance of historical sites. Small boutique hotel, very clean, with very helpful, friendly staff. I would stay there again. Hippodrome ancient wall at back of hotel off breakfast area was a real treat.

Lovely, friendly helpful staff. Great place, roof terrace, garden, building. The Pillows need burning...very smelly. Otherwise rooms were ok but in need of a good clean and some diy. I would definitely stay again.
