"The room (and motel) felt neglected. Patches on the walls, not yet painted, mismatched furniture in the room. The night stand lamp cord couldn’t reach the closest socket on the far side of the bed. The comforter on one of the beds had a splotch of something on it, in need of laundering. The walls are paper thin, I could hear my neighbour coughing!
