"Great place to stay. Never felt unsafe. Staff was super friendly and accommodating with very little language barrier. Food and drinks were good. Beach access and pool access were very convenient. Gorgeous spot right on the best beach. We will definitely be back. We spent a week and checked out other potential places to stay and Ixchel was by far, the best choice."

"Les chambres sont propres et comportent plusieurs commodités. Les employés sont très travaillants, autant pour le ménage, l’entretien, l’accueil et le service aux clients. Le service à la plage est exceptionnel! Vous pouvez commander des breuvages et de la nourriture à même vos palapas. La plage est magnifique. Elle a du sable blanc très fin et de l’eau turquoise d’une clareté exceptionnelle! Nous recommandons !!!"

"The location is excellent. We stayed in the older section and it was okay. The toilet is in a tight location. Some of the rooms on the first floor in the older part still have metal room keys and you enter through a sliding door. The bed was firm but that works for me. The rooms were clean and the pool was nice. I would stay here again, just maybe in the newer part."

"We had ex exceptional time. My husband and I (in our later 30s shhhh lol) We were told that we’d be part of the older crowd there, this, and that as if we shouldn’t be there before we even came but I’m SO glad we did. It was amazing. The breakfast included option was amazing. All staff were AMAZING!! Initially I booked the private Jungle Room which with its esthetic would have had me… unfortunately… I’m someone that HAS to have a TV in the background to sleep.its a trauma response sorry yall, and our WOULD NOT get hot. The moment i was able to get through my shower and go talk to them, they immediately moved us to a private beach side which was soooooo much better IMO. The street noise was minimal and the views incredible. I wish I could have just stayed. 6 days wasn’t enough for me exploring this little island, and the Mayan Monkey was incredible. Thank You for an amazing first out of my home experience."

"The hotel is fine, but they need to provide hair dryers in the rooms and stock coffee, creamer, and sugar like other hotels do. Although reception is supposed to open at 7:00 AM, there is no one available to provide information or answer questions until 2:00 PM, as the staff in the office only attend to the restaurant area; otherwise, the hotel is in good condition."
