Outstanding place to stay. Just a few minutes drive to Interlaken but we were right on the lake. Stunning views and so peaceful. Set in a quaint village. Very comfortable and clean. Great friendly staff. Would definitely come back again and highly recommend. Great value for money.

We absolutely loved our stay. I had visited Iseltwald in college and always said I’d return to stay at one of the hotels. Could not have had a better time with the staff of the Strandhotel taking such good care of us!

Crash landing on Us

We decided on this location because of the Korean drama and Strandhotel was the perfect location, it is on the water and views from balcony were breathtaking.

Incredible lakeside location

Absolutely stunning location, right on the lake. We had a lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant, breakfast was just a continental buffet. Room was fine although quite basic - no fridge for example. Views from the balcony were beautiful!

Balcony View of Brienzersee

We had a two day visit with a large balcony view of the lake. I absolutely loved the room with the view, the wife and had lunch and dinner on the balcony. The showers, ughhh the best shower I’ve had so far at any hotels I’ve stayed in, either in the states or out of the country. Little small to move around in but the giant rain shower head melts away and complains. Hotel staff was great and friendly. Awesome breakfast but I didn’t get the chance to try the dinner. Nice area to walk around in and watch the boat come and go. We really wanted to take advantage of the private lake access for swimming but ran out of time. Over all definitely worth the spend!

I’m really impressed by this family run business in Iseltwald. This was the best hotel I found in this beautiful little village. The refund and change policy is very flexible which I appreciated because I did end up needing to change the date of my visit. The room was newly renovated. We were given the balcony room right next to the hotel sign. It had a breath taking view of the lake and the mountain. Breakfast was included which was so helpful since there aren’t many options around. And the food selection was so great. We had a wonderful breakfast there and ready to take on our journey. The only issue was during check in, I was asked if I’m from Switzerland. When I explained I live in the US, the staff wanted to see proof of my residency. I had to show my US ID other than my passport to check in eventually. This has never happened in other hotels. Maybe it was just miscommunication in due to different languages. I find it a little strange as there must be many foreign visitors coming here. All in all I liked my stay here and would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Iseltwald.
