The town of Invermere is a relaxing vacation destination on the shores of one of the warmest lakes in the Columbia Valley. Families love returning to the sandy beaches for long days in the sun, while hang-gliding and boating adventures suit outdoors enthusiasts. Experience the town’s surrounding mountain scenery on a ski trip or try out one of the region’s renowned golf courses.

The downtown area, known as Invermere-on-the-Lake, is the perfect introduction to the wider township. James Chabot Provincial Park is a pretty leafy area to explore near downtown Invermere. Go farther afield into the surrounding parks and reserves to experience stunning natural scenery and spot wildlife. Go fishing at Whiteswan Lake and be awed by the Marble Canyon in Kootenay National Park. Panorama Mountain Resort is the town’s premier wintersports destination.
