An absolutely beautiful hotel with wonderful amenities. The decor was gorgeous and there was attention to every detail. Lots of restaurants and shops in walking distance. Would highly recommend!

I have been coming to Indianapolis Indiana for quite some time, and this hotel is outstanding. The amenities were nice, the people were nice, and the atmosphere was great. If you go to Indianapolis Indiana, I will highly recommend this hotel. I will not recommend downtown Indianapolis because there are so many homeless individuals unfortunately everywhere, even though they don't bother you there is a safety factor.

Staff not the least bit helpful and pretty restrictive policies. Can't find Ice Machine, have to call front desk for that. No refrigerator other than the mini-bar (which is full). Rooms don't come anywhere close to to the pictures they show you online. Basically from an amenities and service point of view I have stayed in hotels that offer a lot more for a lot less money.

Beautiful clean hotel. We enjoyed our stay here while we attended a concert at Lucas Oil Stadium. It was nice to be away from the crowds and a calmer area. The only thing we experienced was a mistake on checkout. We were on the house keepings list as checked out. We were asleep and they attempted to assess our room with a key card. We had all the locks set. They came back, and managed to unlock the lock that stops the door from opening, opened the door (we could see the light from the hall and I would've assumed they could've seen our luggage) my husband spoke up and they apologized and said we were marked as checked out. We understand mistakes happen but I would've thought if they couldn't access the room when the lock stopped them, they could've asked questions before coming back and accessing the room.

Best location in town!

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Carmichael around ten days after their grand opening. We are local residents but wanted something fun to do for our anniversary, and we knew the location can't be beat. We spent most of the day walking up and down the Monon, from City Center to Midtown to the Arts & Design District. No car necessary. We tried checking in a few minutes early, but no room was ready, so we had drinks at Adagio, the lobby bar. The bartenders were quite pleasant and knowledgable. We made our way back to the front desk, only to be sent to a room on the top floor that clearly hadn't been cleaned yet- our only mishap of the stay. The staff was apologetic and righted the situation. Dinner at Vivante was excellent. The menu isn't huge and doesn't need to be as the options were all appetizing. I would love to try brunch there as well, and I suppose locals will make their way there often. Our room was exactly as shown in photos. Quiet, comfortable, tasteful. The shower was amazing with quality fixtures. I was pleased to see a standing magnifying mirror. I wish the bathroom area had different lighting, as one (non-dimmable) switch controls toilet closet, sink, and shower lighting. Blackout curtains were effective in the room. It was surprising to see so many families with children there, but Carmel is a large family friendly town. Plenty of wedding guests as well, and a few friendly dogs. Very pleased to give 5 stars for our stay.
