It was a nice hotel; however, it would have been nice to open the door more for cooler air or have air conditioning. The room was quite warm.

The style of this hotel is beautifully done and it works really well in this area. The rooms are spacious and they have a balcony with views of the mountains. Parking is free and there's additional parking in the garage below. Breakfast area seems a bit small for a hotel of this size and therefore it feels very crowded. Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone!

Great place to stay!

I chose to stay here because it was in the mountains and the surrounding area just looked gorgeous. The hotel staff were wonderful, professional, and courteous. Our room was clean, modern, and functional. We had our two small dogs with us, and they were welcome. There was plenty of grassy space for them to be walked right outside. The breakfast was very delicious and diverse. We loved that you could cook your own skillet! We will definitely be staying at another Explorer hotel in the future.

Beds are extra hard

The hotel is ok, but rethink booking if you’re used to sleeping on your belly; beds are extra hard and the pillows very big and firm. Never before experienced such an uncomfortable bed in Europe.

Would have liked to get an email with the way how to walk form the busstation to the hotel after i called to check whether there is a bus from Oetztal Bahnhof; now I had to walk a long way to search for the hotel with heavy luggage. The intake was okay. But a friend of mine with backproblems had to walk with heavy luggage around the hotel to the front door, because a staff member refused to open the back door for him. The room was't cleaned and toilet paper wasn't renewed in my 6 day stay. Diificulties to check out at 06:30 to catch the bus to the Oetzal Bahnhof. The sauna and spa wasn't open during the day. It was a budgethotel experience. The breakfast was good though.

Ich war schon zum dritten Mal im Explorer Hotel im Ötztal. Schönes Hotel, freundlicher Empfang, geräumige und saubere Zimmer, Frühstück ohne Schnickschnack, verkehrsgünstige Lage. Wegen Minderbelegung war dieses Mal die Sauna leider nur von 17-19 Uhr in Betrieb. Allerdings habe ich auch 2 Kritikpunkte: 1. Keine kostenlosen Parkplätze (2,- €/Nacht auf dem Hotelparkplatz, 8,80 €/Nacht in der Tiefgarage), 2. Die Matratzen sind aus meiner Sicht sehr unbequem
