"Negatives; 1. Last 30 metres of climb to the property was extremely steep. 2. The bed (a pull our couch) was the hardest that we have ever experienced. 3. The owner/host spoke zero English. 4. She showed us an unacceptable small unit, which we declined, until showing us a larger one with a view (which we had paid for). 5. "The room was great. The staff were very helpful. We didn’t make it to breakfast, but I’m sure it was also nice. Thanks for the oil, honey, and whiskey."

"Very good hotel , extremely clean, rooms very comfortable including spacious bathroom with excellent shower. Personal choice - bed a bit firm but still slept ok, perhaps a mattress topper could be offered. Aircon was really good. Breakfast was the usual thing but orange juice was good and loved the fresh fruit and pastries. Husband loved the eggs. Perfect location to use the escalators to the old town which is beautiful. But it was peaceful at night with great windows that keep out the road noise. I must say we have never found such a peaceful hotel, staying 8 nights in the Jazz festival so a busy time but felt like we were the only guests, very quiet rooms. Only had one evening meal in the hotel as so many close restaurants but must say the hotel restaurant was extremely good and reasonably priced menu. Staff were all friendly and room cleaning was great they tried to go in when you went to breakfast. Thanks to all."

"Hotel Duomo in Orvieto was an excellent choice and exceeded our expectations. The location was perfect, making it easy to explore this beautiful historic town. We especially loved the breakfast buffet, which offered a wonderful variety of fresh and delicious options each morning. The rooms were a little dated, but they were comfortable and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. What truly made our experience exceptional was the outstanding customer service. One staff member went above and beyond to make our stay special. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and she made us cappuccinos and Aperol Spritz, adding such a personal touch to our experience. Her kindness and attentiveness made us feel truly valued as guests. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend Hotel Duomo to anyone visiting Orvieto. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish."
