Warm bedroom and reliable hot water for showering in winter. Good for a night in Kakunodate, or more. Breakfast (if purchased when booking) was served in the guesthouse's Italian restaurant just beside. Thin walls though the other guests were considerate to minimise noise during my stay. The owner, Eiko, is a very easygoing and friendly lady. I regret I had to leave.

Amenities are good. Room size above average.
Toilet and bath separated , clean , modern and functional. Beds are comfortable. Outlets conveniently located. Writing table well placed.
Being a JR owned hotel gives it proximity very near to Akita train station.
