half of the rooms have been updated; the other half will be done by spring 2024; wonderful rooms, wonderful breakfast outside on the patio, perfect location. couldn't be better. very helpful staff.

Absolutely perfect. Half of the rooms have been completely updated. By spring the remaining rooms will be. A bargain for the quality of the hotel. Great breakfast too.

Stunning hotel

This was truly a stunning hotel. The interior of the hotel was gorgeous and the room itself was very clean and tidy. All of the receptionists were extremely friendly and the hotel itself was around 5 minutes walking distance from the port of Hydra which was very convenient. Honestly no complaints whatsoever. I’d absolutely book here again.

A unique and charming property with many lovely touches throughout the public areas. Our only complaint was the shower area of our bathroom, which had old tile and significant black mold.

Great location and breakfast

We had a corner room looking at the across the street bell tower of a small church and up the mountain. The hotel was in a lovely spot within an easy walk of the harbor. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Breakfast at the hotel was excellent. The only downsides I can think of are a bit of noise from the hallway, but this was helped by there being a door between the entrance door and the bedroom. The bell ringer at the church did ring the bells pretty early one morning of our stay. WiFi is adequate but not super strong. We had a very nice stay and would consider staying there again.

Très bonne expérience.

Points positifs : beau bâtiment de type luxueux mais cependant relax, extrêmement bien situé, très calme et très propre. En plein dans la ville mais en retrait du centre bruyant. Chambre spacieuse, bonne literie pour la Grèce... L'hôtelier, très accueillant, parle bien français. Le petit déjeuner compris est varié, frais et abondant, dans le genre parfait. Il peut être pris dans le jardin. Points négatifs : mobilier un peu fatigué (un beau fauteuil de cuir craqué), pas d'ascenseur.

Heaven in Hydra

This was a wonderful stay in Hydra. The hotel was very nice. Clean and large room with a modern bathroom. The staff in the whole hotel was very nice. The breakfast was excellent. There is a very good restaurant just in front of the hotel. Hydra is amazing. Just relax watching the sunsets....

Late September stay

Our stay was very relaxing and we wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel itself was beautiful and the room was clean and well maintained including good double glazing which blocked out the church bells of the island that liked to ring at 7:30am! The buffet breakfast was delicious and plentiful and it had good COVID precautions which made us feel very safe and well cared for. It is a short walk from the harbour up a single alleyway, so was easy to find.

Close to everything. Very clean and spacious rooms. Front desk staff was not particularly helpful. If you had a question or concern they acted like you were bothering them and they were doing you a favor. Need better training of those that greet guests. For that reason would not recommend.

The location of this hotel is perfect, just "around the corner" from the port. Breakfast is really on point, and the corona measurements make one feel really safe and sound. My only tiny problem was with the staff. While two of them made us feel super welcomed, I had the feeling that the lady at the counter and another member of the staff were really tired about their jobs to the extent of being almost rude to us. On the last day we wanted to walk a bit before the checkout, and around 10:20, when we passed the reception, the lady told us "remember your check out is at 11" with a very particular voice tone. Overall the experience was great, however I'm not sure if would stay here again if having the opportunity to visit Hydra again.

In the midst of the central harbor area of Hydra. Easy walking to all point of interest, beaches and commercial areas. Great hotel with touches of a vintage hotel. Staff very helpful, great breakfast, and comfortable room.

Mixed feelings

I have mixed feelings about this Hotel.I booked three doubles and opted for the pay at hotel/free cancellation. My credit card was to be used only as a guarantee.I travel a lot and always choose this option.yet this time my card was blocked for the full amount from a week before (1,500€). Even though all three rooms were paid immediately on check in -the blocked amount was not released before ten days later. Very inconvenient since my credit card was left without any credit for my stay in hydra! Thank god I had cash. The hotel is pretty but our bathroom/shower was tiny. Even though I had informed them that I will be celebrating my wedding anniversary whilst there no small complimentary gift was awaiting in my room. Seeing I had booked three rooms in all it would have been a nice gesture. We had a heat wave of over 40•c whilst there, so the fact that the common corridors/stairs areas were not airconditioned was very annoying. The redeeming points in this hotel were dear Martha and Kostas. Always helpful and smiling. The breakfast courtyard was also lovely.
