"We had a wonderful stay. The staff was helpful, kind and very sweet to my kids. We thought the breakfast was good, the room and common areas were clean, and my kids enjoyed the pool!"

"BE CAREFUL* BE SAFE* Go somewhere else! During my stay, several staff members reported that the new management company is not paying them and that there is no longer an on-site manager. Therefore, I did not receive any services (room cleaning or bed change). Many long-term guests worked behind the counter, helped new guests, and cleaned the rooms. The credit card and personal information of guests are not safeguarded because long-stay guests were going in and out of the staff office and helping the housekeeping staff with cleaning rooms. "

"There was no one available at the front desk and there was a sign posted that said my reservation had been canceled and they apologize for any inconvenience. Since I arrived at about 9:15 p.m. I had no place to stay overnight and had to find another place. They had a telephone number for you to call if you arrived when the desk was closed however no one answered that phone. I ended up staying at another hotel 15 miles away."

"The place is old, but was refurbished in years past. The closet door mirror was broken. Black ants in the bathroom. On the positive side, it was one minute away from FDR's house and library, and a little bit away from a new shopping center with a supermarket. The guy who checked us in was friendly. Breakfast was waffles and oatmeal; some fruit was out to grab. Hyde Park is not what we expected. The town looks tired. It needs updating in many areas, but at least there is new commerce coming in here and there."

"Wonderful location, breakfast was NOT in the hotel— it was a block walk and incoviently located and no real directions on how to find it. The assortment of food was not up to what would one expect. Room was large and nice.."

"Everything was great for the most part. My boyfriend and I stayed there for a night and tried the pool. It was fantastic, although the hot tub wasn’t available. The staff was great when we checked in, but the ones who were there when we left were a bit rude. I don’t really mind that, though. The breakfast was okay. We had waffles and boiled eggs, but we really wished the egg omelet was scrambled eggs instead. Also, the peppers were a bit too much for us. Not everyone wants that. Maybe on the side Overall, I would definitely stay again. I would give it an 8.5 out of 10. "
