"This was the worst hotel experience of my life. I made a reservation from February 22nd to 24th. In the early morning of the 23rd, the hotel lost power. We were left without electricity and without heating during a snowstorm, in extremely low temperatures. The hotel does not have a generator, so we were freezing in our room. Around 10:00 AM, we went to the front desk and canceled our second night. The front desk attendant wrote everything down on paper since none of the systems were working at the time. However, we never received a refund for the canceled night. I do not recommend this hotel under any circumstances. There was no responsibility for the safety of the guests. We had to seek shelter in a local church because the hotel offered absolutely no support, even knowing that we were with children in total darkness."

"During a hurricane the hotel lost all power for multiple days. There were no back-up generators, no access to food. The staff did not provide the Islander discount and refused any discount or refund for the second night that we cancelled after learning another hotel did in fact have a generator, heat and food. Zero customer service, not friendly, no interest in answering questions. Meanwhile, the guests pooled together and helped each other with finding food and coffee off site during 80 mph winds and blizzard conditions. The staff barely engaged or offered assistance. They ordered themselves food and picked it up during the storm without offering any help to the guests. The hotel was clean and nice, but the staff were useless."

"experience at Hotel Cape Cod involving the unlawful denial of access to a legally protected ADA service animal. We booked a short stay following a snowstorm to enjoy the beach and pool facilities. Upon arrival, I was informed that my son’s certified medical service dog was not allowed in the room we had booked due to concerns about other guests’ allergies. I calmly explained that under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a service animal must be allowed anywhere the public is permitted. I was told that this was not the hotel’s policy. Later that evening, we went to the hotel pool. My son’s service dog was leashed, housebroken, under control, and lying quietly on the pool deck while I held the leash, as my son is under 18. The dog never entered the water. An employee entered the pool area in an agitated manner, yelling with her hair covering her face and flailing her arms. Her behavior was alarming and disruptive. We had difficulty understanding her due to the way she was yelling. She repeatedly stated that the dog was not allowed and demanded that we leave. I calmly explained that the dog is a service animal protected under the ADA and asked that she verify the law. She left the area and returned with a front desk employee, who again stated that no dogs were allowed at the hotel. I attempted to show documentation kept on the dog’s leash, but he refused to review it and stated, “Not at this hotel,” despite the fact that we had been required to sign paperwork "

"Staff are amazing, place is beautiful, clean and all around wonderful place "

"The room was clean had everything in it you could need. The staff was friendly and accommodating ice machine easily accessible and a filtered water cooler in the lobby was great. Pool area was closed but it looked like a nice area."

"So hotel lobby was well kept, but when we left to get to our room, first was garbage can outside of door to get in was overflowing with trash and all over the ground, then when we went in door Firebox in wall was beeping, when we got to room, wallpaper falling off, dirty chairs in room, dripping shower, heat didn't work, they came and tried to fix, then set at 70 in 15 minutes was 77 tried to lower it and system shut off again and we spent the night with no heat....so we were supposed to stay another night but checked out next morning, tried not to rude and said we were leaving because of a family emergency at home"
