The good
-----------
Looks like this hotel has just been refurbished (or just opened). Everything has been beautifully done. Looks like the place has even more potential as they're planning to open additional facilities on the roof (like a restaurant). The staff here were excellent, beyond helpful and accommodating. I'd be giving a far worse score here if it weren't for the staff.
The location is good, with free access to Orange beach and one other. There's a private elevator which takes you down to the road with the beaches on.
The bad
---------
I would not recommend the hotel for those needing to work from the room.
The WiFi is poor, maybe 2/1.5 (not good enough for calls). The desk in the room is designed such that it'll over balance if you put any weight on the unsupported end (potentially spilling your laptop onto the floor), and there's no power sockets near enough to the desk unless you have an exceptionally long charger.
The power sockets in the room (unlike pretty much every other power socket in tourist locations in egypt) do not accept North American plugs, so you'll need adaptors.
The inexcusable
-------------------
The AC in our room flooded twice, soaking our bags the first time, and the floor the second time. Called the front desk the first time, and they sent someone after 15-20 minutes, didn't bother for the second and just collected the water with towels and saucepans.
