Lovely Stay

The owners and staff were very friendly and kind. Unfortunately the radiator didn't work in our bedroom but the bed was very comfortable and warm once your were in it. Breakfast was delicious so was the evening meal. We shall definitely be back after the renovations. Will recommend to family and friends.

We went in off-season. The bar downstairs was friendly with outstanding food. The owners wanted to play some birthday music and some party music, but they came to ask patrons first which we really appreciated. Room was nice.

Very comfortable stay

I arrived in the middle of the night and instructions to get in were excellent. Room tidy and clean and en-suite. Kettle, with tea, coffee and water, and a TV, too. Perhaps they could have added the WiFi code as is probably available on request - but as reception was closed I could not ask. Highly recommended as excellent value for money!

The bar/restaurant is very nice! The stairs and landing up to the rooms and the rooms are filthy! I am not a snob and you get what you pay for but this is another level! I personally will never consider staying here again! Pay more and use the golden lion!

The room was clean and adequate for the price, There was no wifi, they couldn't accept card payments at the bar, the room was not replenished with towels soap and tea on second day despite the request to do so. The online price for the breakfast was £8.95 but when we came to order it at the bar we were told it was £12. Probably wont return.

My room at the Wash & Tope was perfect for me; a well-priced single room for one night. Very clean, quiet, and in a great central location. Small, as you’d expect, but it had everything I needed and the bed was really comfortable. The staff were really welcoming & friendly too. I guess my only disappointment was that there wasn’t a way to lower the lights at night: it was just a bright ceiling light over the sleeping area and the bathroom space - or nothing. There’s not room for a bedside table but a wall light would have made a huge difference to the ambience of the room in the evening! Just a thought. Everything else was fine and I’d certainly stay again (and probably will, next time I need to visit my old relative in Hunstanton.)!

Adequate but not recommended for a longer stay.

The room was very compact. It was very clean and adequate for a 1 night stay. The bed wasn’t very comfortable. We arrived back to sleep at about 10.30 on a Friday night and the noise in the room was deafening from the music in the bar. However bang on 11pm there was silence. We thought breakfast was included but it wasnt so we declined to pay for one. The other thing that was a little distressing was that they were not aware that we had already paid so proof had to be provided. This is a fault that lies with Hotels.com

Great service, great location.

Great service, friendly staff. Place needs some work, we had bad weather and rain was coming in through the ceiling.. bathroom was tiny, can barely sit on the loo, and a bad stench. Other than that you hear banging doors all the time as none of the rooms have slow closing doors.
