Check in was quick an easy. Out of hours access was also handy. We were not that impressed by the room. We didn't complain as we were only staying for one night and had plans to meet family and friends so only needed somewhere to sleep. It was also cheap. However, the soap dispenser and tissue dispenser had fallen off the wall and were just balanced on the shelf. The bedding had lots of stains, tiles were falling off in the bathroom and the floorboards creaked throughout. The pub itself is lovely, the hotel side could just use a little renovation. However, if you want somewhere cheap around Newland Avenue, then here is an option

I had a room in the back of the hotel near a noisy boiler / air conditioning unit. Given it was a warm evening in the summertime it was an uncomfortable night. The breakfast was fine and staff helpful.
